We stayed at the Hotel Eliseo in 2019. This year, on the occasion of another trip to Lourdes, we asked our travel agency to return to this hotel, since we remembered having enjoyed it. We were asked for a supplement per person of 20 euros per day. Ok, everything increases, it fits. Unfortunately, we had an unpleasant surprise. I would recommend several things to the Elysée: 1) the reception of guests, in my opinion, should be much more friendly and efficient: upon arrival at the hotel at around 10.15 am, I was told, with little kindness, that the room at that It was certainly not ready now (what did I expect?) and that I would have to show up again around 12. I could, please, leave my bags in the hall; 2) lunches and dinners, in my opinion, should be reviewed in every detail, table service included. We remind you that this hotel is a 4 star. The waiters are distracted and run between the tables with dishes resting on their arms, the plates (5 or 6 at a time), touching each other full of food, and are served with little grace and with their fingers touching the dish. The cuisine does not excel, pasta overcooked or overcooked, full of too abundant sauces and gravies; dishes with ground ingredients mixed with unlikely sauces. The meat is, in my opinion, inedible, because it is leathery, undercooked and of poor quality. The dining room is noisy and disturbed by the presence of various groups, who, for the technical communications of the day, do not limit themselves to politely speaking politely, but shout into the microphone, with little respect for the other diners. Another chapter opens for breakfast: a skimpy buffet, coffee machines and other drinks, one of which was out of order the other day. A brioche is left on a saucer at the table, waiting for you, disconsolate and cold. Nothing like the breakfast you expect from a 4 star. For tea, these mornings, we asked for a few slices of lemon; the lemon is not displayed in the room, but only for those who request it from the waiters, with a wait that makes you think that the lemons have yet to be picked from the tree; 3) clean room, and quite spacious; there is no minibar to keep a bottle of water cool; the bathroom, with a divided toilet, of adequate size, but with an incommendable and poor hygiene set. Small towels, the shower towel is the size of a face towel. I think that the fact that we traveled in a group influenced the trea**ent at the table. I could, however, be wrong. As regards the common areas: hall, waiting room, lifts, bar area and relaxation area, I would say that everything is normal. The proximity to places of worship is the only strong point for this hotel. I was severely disappointed.
