I just had an absolutely horrendous experience here! Stay away!! I booked and prepaid for 2 nights. My flight got cancelled on the first night of the reservation so I had to fly in the next day. I called the hotel the moment my flight got cancelled and the man at the front desk on the phone told me that it was no problem about my flight being cancelled and that when I come in tomorrow, they would adjust the reservation and I will be covered for 2 nights. Since I was assured my reservation was fine, I didn’t call any support lines or rebook anything. When I arrived to the hotel the next day after my rescheduled flight arrived in Lubbock, the man at the front desk ALSO told me that there was to be no problems with my 2 night reservation, gave me my key to my room and that the manager will need to handle the reservation on the computer tomorrow. Well the next day while I was working in my hotel room they kept contacting me to come down to the front desk, they knocked on my door, kept calling me, so I got ready and went down to the front desk, talked to the manager in the *****ed blue shirt, and he told me that I had to pay for the 2nd night and that I was lucky for them to “comp” my first night there because since I didn’t show up on the 1st night of my reservation because of my cancelled flight and that my entire reservation was cancelled EVEN THOUGH THE FRONT DESK GUY TOLD ME MY RESERVATION FOR TWO NIGHTS WAS STILL GOOD IN PERSON AND ON THE PHONE WHEN I CALLED IN ABOUT MY CANCELLED FLIGHT! The manager told me I should have read the terms & conditions of the hotel website and he was leaning over the counter screaming at me. My issue wasn’t about the hotel websites that take your money if you don’t show up the first night because of a cancelled flight, although I don’t agree with these tactics, I understand. My issue is TWO OF HIS EMPLOYEES TOLD ME BOTH ON THE PHONE THE DAY BEFORE AND IN PERSON THE DAY OF MY ARRIVAL THAT THE RESERVATION WAS STILL GOOD FOR TWO NIGHTS WHEN I ARRIVED!!! I even showed the manager my call log of when I called them & talked to the man at the front desk the day before. The manager was literally leaning over the front desk screaming at me at the top of his lungs over a $50 room and at a long time customer. It was one of the worst experiences I have ever went through!! I packed up all of my stuff and left!! I travel to Lubbock a lot for business and they have lost my business forever!! Stay away!!
