From the moment we entered the front door we could tell this would not be a very good experience as the front door was blocked open and the lob by was very warm and stuffy.. Rooms were not clean, water was standing in the hallway from an apparent water leak, carpet was wet, ceiling drywall over the bed was cracked, stained and about to fall, 50% of the lights did not work in the room, coffee maker did not work, room telephone was missing the cord that connected it to the wall jack, window was unable to be locked and could have been easily pushed open as we were on the first floor. Telephone in the elevator lobby was missing and elevator was filthy. Swimming pool had a very green color to the water. As this was graduation weekend for Texas Tech University all hotels were filled and this hotel took advantage of the opportunity to increase rates to $240.00 per night.
