Das Hotel ansich ist okay. Ein bisschen schlecht was die Parkmöglichkeiten angeht, ein externes Parkhaus liegt ca 30 Gehminuten entfernt. Das liegt auch an der Autofeindlichkeit der Stadt. Die ist ziemlich tot. Bei uns auf dem Dorf ist deutlich mehr los. Das Personal des Hotels gehört nicht gerade zu den Dynamikern, passt aber zur Stadt.

Ubicazione ideale, tra la Marienkirche e la piazza del mercato. Design elegante e raffinato visibile fin dall'ingresso che, essendo ampio e confortevole, viene utilizzato anche per la prima colazione che è abbondante e a buffet, secondo i migliori standard europei. Le camere sono arredate in maniera essenziale, soprattutto per ciò che riguarda i sanitari del bagno. Nel complesso da consigliare vivamente, anche perché è una delle poche strutture all'interno del centro storico. S

We absolutely loved Motel One in Lubeck. The position of the hotel was superb, directly on the market place and the reception and bar were extremely well designed and welcoming. We had booked one double room and one single; reception had thoughtfully allocated the rooms next door to each other which was very helpful. The rooms were small but well designed and the beds were very comfortable. The shower room was easy to use and the fittings were safe and well designed for older people. The staff we met in the three days we stayed there were all very helpful and caring about our enjoyment of the hotel. We would have liked to have stayed for longer but we were touring north Germany so were not able to stay for further nights. We are looking forward to staying at other branches of Motel One in the future as they all look well appointed and good value.

Leider geht im Motel One Lübeck nach unserer Meinung das Design über Komfort. Wenn Urlaubsgäste zu festen Zeiten frühstücken müssen, dann stimmt etwas nicht mit dem Platzangebot. So die Begründung auf unsere Frage warum wir nicht einfach zum Frühstück erscheinen können. Bei voller Auslastung werden feste Zeiten zum Frühstück vergeben, da ansonsten kein Platz ist. Im Urlaub ist aber genau das kontraproduktiv. Im beruflichen Alltag ist immer an bestimmte Zeiten gebunden und möchte nunmehr die "freie Zeit" so nützen wie es gefällt. Wenn ich feste Zeiten im Urlaub möchte dann ist es meine Entscheidung, oder ich buche eine Flusskreuzfahrt, dann weiß ich bereits vorab was mich erwartet. Wir werden in Zukunft erst nachfragen, ob es feste Zeiten gibt, und dann im Bedarfsfall entscheiden, ob wir uns anderweitig orientieren. Ansonsten ist die Lage super, alles ist zentral erreichbar, auch Parkmöglichkeiten in Hotelnähe sind reichlich vorhanden.

ICE packs for medicine need to be placed in the freezer not the refrigerator. The front desk person was asked to place two ice packs into the hotel freezer so they would be ready for our journey back home. They were not frozen in the morning and expensive medicine had to be disposed of. Train your front staff better please. Do as the customer asks.

En reportage à Lubeck pour le blog pichonvoyageur.ch, j'ai séjourné avec plaisir dans cet hôtel fidèle au concept "Motel One" (design décontracté, ambiance plutôt jeune). Celui-ci est idéalement situé en plein centre historique et à 20 minutes de la gare (à pied). Accueil souriant et petit-déjeuner standard.
