"The hotel is conveniently located near the train station and within walking distance of tourist attractions. Free parking is available in front of the hotel, but spaces are limited and cannot be reserved. A water dispenser near the lobby provides free still and carbonated drinking water. The room has air conditioning and a safe, but unfortunately, no refrigerator. I booked a quadruple room with a double bed and a sofa. The sofa was already folded open upon check-in, leaving little room for movement. The sofa's sheets, quilt, and pillows were already provided."

"the fact that there is no lift, reception H24, few bathroom accessories available, breakfast is extremely simple (although well-treated) and may not be a buffet may harm some travelers, but this hotel is unique, The hotel is a good taste and history jewelry. It is not necessary to classify it with the usual stars or standards. We stayed in suite 2 with the terrace that allows you to enjoy the sun on the channel. A huge room with 18th century stuff, dark wood floor, a large and very comfortable bed and three huge windows from which it filters a wonderful light. A duck in the history of the Anseatic League (do not lose the stupid museum in the north side of the historic center!) for cultivated and refined travelers."

"Very nice, old house with its own atmosphere. Aidful and always friendly staff. Rich breakfast in a beautiful breakfast room with views on the Baltic beach. A large shortage is the bathrooms, which are modernised and top-cared, but are not useful for people with reduced mobility or more popular (almost) because of the narrow structures. The door of the shower is so installed that it is restricted when opened by the toilet sofa and thus only a larger divide is open. So you can only sneak (in the best case and with some slim figure) or stay out. That's not going, and it's certainly worth a hotel's note. But it seems to have been built in all rooms of the house."

"Upon arrival, there was no friendly welcome, and the hallway looked dingy and in need of renovation. As a fan of the Ibis Budget chain and a purist, I'm used to better. Other budget hotels have, in my experience, offered more. I had to find out myself which floor my room was on. Still or sparkling water was unavailable. The payment confirmation I presented, including my credit card details, was not accepted. At least the bed had fresh linens."

"Service was utterly terrible. We "had" to wait at check-in until the receptionist finished a long-winded phone call, apparently not even for business purposes. The room was moderately "shabby," with long hair in the bathroom. Housekeeping was only available upon request, with a lengthy registration process. The parking lot was largely blocked by a bus. The location was on the outskirts of the city. Two nights was already too much of a price increase due to the Travemünde Sailing Week."

They provided detailed and practical instructions on how to get to the beach, making our trip even more perfect. "I stayed at the Atlantic Grande having arrived on the evening ferry and not wishing to drive on in the dark. Since it was a rather late booking, the room rate was expensive, and even slightly more than I had been quoted, since they added on 15 € for car parking. The hotel is in a beautiful, grand historic building, with spacious interiors but a hint of slightly faded luxury (e.g. grubby carpets). The arrival clerk was reasonably efficient but rather charmless, initially seeming to suspect me of being an intruder rather than a late-arriving customer. I was given a voucher for a free non-alcoholic welcome drink at the bar, a bit of a strange concept. The room and bedding were comfortable, though there was no chair for the desk. The stand-out item was the breakfast, a fabulous buffet to suit all tastes, everything fresh and of high quality, and looking out over the shore, either from inside the breakfast room or out on the terrace. There was even a special vegan section offering plant-based charcuterie and pâtés. The word fabulous is used on some hotel booking sites to mean ‘just about ok’, but I feel it applies literally in this case. On balance, a mixed picture. The hotel is probably best suited to couples in search of a romantic getaway, dreaming nostalgically of the heady delights of yesteryear."
