B&B Alma

This place is quite far city Center with very limited transportation which take your lot of time to going for tourist places.

We decided we wanted to stay an extra day in Lucca and the host were very kind in helping us extend. At first it looked like we would have to change rooms for the extra night based on availability, but they were able to arrange things to let us stay in the same room which was nice. Its about a 20minute walk from the city, but there is a nice walking/biking path you can take, and the local bus stops right outside the B&B.

We stayed as family in last week of July. We had tour of 10 days in Italy visiting various cities. Trust me this is the worst place in my entire life I have ever stayed. We stayed here for 2 nights and both nights there was electricity in the room. You can imagine, spending entire night without fan or ac with your 2 little kids when the outside temperature was so high. Upon checking outside the window, I found out that there was power in the area. However, as per the host, there was biggest storm that night in the history of Italy. However, I could not find any facts online confirming the same. Such a liar. Some how we got hold of the host on n WhatsApp and reported the power issue. The guys said that he was coming to the place and would fixed it. And what it was fixed in next 30 mins that was around 06:45am. They are such a fraud that I am sure they were purposely switching off the power as it happened both nights and no apologies were offered. We had also booked our rooms with breakfast and paid for it. Though it says full breakfast (that’s purposely mentioned to mislead the customers) you get a fixed, limited and something which you don’t even want to eat. We got 2 pieces of toast along with scrambled eggs which was so little that it might have been prepared with just 2 eggs and divided into 4 of us. Then offered 4-5 small pieces of bruschetta and those were simply taste less. Hot beverages were just warm that you could drink it in a single sip. We didn’t even bothered to have the breakfast next morning, rather decided to take our kids outside for breakfast. A couple sitting next to our table also didn’t have anything and when asked for a second cup of coffee, they were given a shock by telling that it was on additional 2.50 euros. I have no words, that this place was such a fraud and we had appalling experience. In fact our entire trip was spoilt as it was the last place we stayed in Italy. I would warn everyone to avoid this place at any cost. I wish, if I could rate it zero or even negative rating…..

We went on vacation out of season and was recommended this B&B by an American couple. It totally lived up to our expectations with a clean large nice room, bathroom and Italian breakfast. The very warm and charming Italian host couple made us enjoy the stay - which we extended further than planned. Even our dog loved it and did not want to leave.
