The property is so beautiful and the surroundings as well. The countryside is stunning and the staff was very welcoming (Michela was extremely helpful). The room was exactly like on the pictures , very spacious with great views. Would definitely come back and recommend Villa Casanova!
The only con we would say was the restaurant - we were a bit disappointed by the pasta we ordered.

Not what I expected. Although the rooms are spacious and comfortable they lack the individuality to make your stay feel special. Other than the beds the furnishings are of poor quality and are the same in the other rooms and common areas, not what you would expect in a small 5 star hotel. The restaurant is mediocre at best. A very disappointing stay.

The staff was superb, helpful, friendly and accommodating. The grounds are very pleasant, and we were even able to take advantage of the tennis court (racquets and balls available for borrowing). Pool was refreshing. Our deluxe suite with valley view was incredibly spacious. Our only comment was the room furnishings felt a bit spartan (but to be honest, I probably fixate on these things more than your average guest.) The town of Lucca was 20 minutes away, Pisa 30 minutes, wineries 15 minutes. It was an excellent base for exploring the area, and an all-around splendid stay.

Splendide villa toscane qui allie raffinement d’un autre siècle et modernité. Vue exceptionnelle sur les hauteurs de Lucca et un jardin que domine la terrasse et sa piscine à débordement. Suites très spacieuses, lumineuses et très confortables, ouvertes sur la vallée et la montagne. Equipe de l’Hôtel qui met tout en oeuvre pour que vous vous sentiez comme chez vous. Avec simplicité et gentillesse. Un séjour vraiment inoubliable. Par ailleurs, petit déjeuner très complet et varié et dîner au restaurant de bonne facture avec des produits locaux sur la merveilleuse terrasse en bord de piscine. Nous avons hâte d’y redéposer nos bagages !

Immerso in mezzo al verde su di una collina che domina, dotata di una piscina panoramica a sfioro, ben curata, nella location domina il silenzio e la gentilezza del personale di servizio, ottima cucina non sofisticata, piatti freddi e insalate per un pranzo a bordo piscina, cucina toscana e piatti diversificati per la cena. Buona colazione, presente il salato e formaggi, forse da migliorare la parte dolci poco presente. Camera spaziosa, pulita e dotata di confort, nel complesso un ottimo soggiorno per coloro che vogliono trascorrere momenti di relax e di silenzio. Unico suggerimento, manca la Spa, un bagno turco, presente in altre strutture debominate "le dimore storiche", alcune le hanno realizzate all'interno delle camere, ottimo in particolar modo in questo periodo di Covid 19, oppure all' interno della struttura, magari realizzare una piscina coperta e una Spa con annessa palestra, in sostituzione del campo da tennis, che risulta abbandonato o poco curato. Vista la collocazione la Location ha delle potenzialità di miglioramento, ma servirebbero dei servizi in più anche per le giornate non di sole e per attrarre altra tipologia di clientela. Cmq d ritornare.
