Hotels Near Stadtteilbrunnen in Ludwigshafen am Rhein

The Mercure Mannheim Rathaus is a bit dated but still OK and very practical / functional for a stay in Mannheim. Centrally located. Friendly staff. Clean. Access with public transit is a bit tricky, either a 25-minute walk from the main station or a combination of tram / walk. Arriving by car is much easier, they have a garage (do not know about the cost though). One nice things for a stay during the summer period: you can open the windows at the hotel for fresh air. Downside: there was no vault in the room.

We arrived at the hotel after a long travel day in the early evening and the receptionist was very friendly, listened and gave us two nice rooms with views towards the city (rather than the station and rail-tracks). The rooms were clean and had amenities such as a kettle. What really rocked was the breakfast. An excellent choice of cold and warm, a very good handmade fruit-salad and bircher musli. As I am someone using the stairs rather than the elevator to do some steps, I really enjoyed the motivating messages on each floor of the staircase. Good idea! Overall great value for our money. Thank you so much for this wonderful stay, we will come back when the opportunity arises.

Clean and modern hotel, great breakfast to start your day and most importantly it's 5 mins walk to Mannheim main train station and 2 mins walk to the tram station to Mannheim shopping district. Front office staff were welcoming and courteous, thanks for making my stay wonderful. Best part of the hotel is the view of the train station and absolutely zero noise from outside, which makes your stay very comfortable.

Facilities: The facilities are complete and the details are in place. Appliances are German brands. Hygiene: very clean. Environment: Located in the city center, travel is very convenient. Service: very friendly. There are no slippers in the room, you can contact the front desk if you need them.

Erstmal das Positive: Man wohnt sehr zentral, alles ist zu Fuß erreichbar. Von außen ist es ein wunderschönes Gebäude und die Parkmöglichkeit ist top. Das war es aber auch schon. Die Liste der negativen Eigenschaften ist lang. Die Zimmer sind aus den 80er Jahren und total verwohnt. Ich war unter dem Dach und die Hitze war unerträglich, die Klimaanlage defekt. Mit offenem Fenster konnte man wegen des Lärms nicht schlafen. Von den Flecken und der Ausdünstung des Teppichbodens will ich nicht sprechen. Der Plastikvorhang am Fenster war ausgerissen und auch die Nachtischlampe hing in Fetzen herunter. Das Badezimmer mit schmuddeligem Duschvorhang und Armaturen mit Grünspan war der reinste Horror. Habe zwei Nächte kaum schlafen können. Die Bar war ab 22 Uhr geschlossen weil scheinbar das Personal was anderes vor hatte. Zu mindestens wurde ganz ungeniert mit einem Gast an der Bar geknutscht. Fazit: Nicht empfehlenswert! Hoffentlich findet sich jemand, der das schöne Haus wieder zu neuem Glanz verhilft. Wäre schade wenn es noch mehr herunterkommt.

We are so disappointed. Don't be fooled by the offer and facilities you see online. We found the place soulless, which is such a shame, because it has hugh potential. I specifically chose this hotel because there were onsite facilities including a restaurant and bar. Neither were open on the day we checked in, apparently due to staff sickness!! So, I am expected to believe that only one person is tasked with running the kitchen, restaurant and bar! Umm! I am slightly cynical, to be honest. After a long drive we were looking forward to dinner and drinks. Our room was fine- very clean and comfortable ....but we could have had the same quality room for far less elsewhere. Breakfast was fine but again, I wouldn't pay for that again. The breakfast room was so deathly quiet, we wanted to eat breakfast and get out of there. No atmosphere. When you arrive at this hotel, you walk through a cloud of smoke, as the smoking area is directly infront of the front doors. What a welcome. I paid for the additional facilities but my meal that night was a bread roll from Lidl, up the road. I have waited almost two weeks for Leonardo to respond to my direct complaint via their chat service and I've heard nothing - I did give them the chance to address my complaint directly. More

Very nice hotel in the center of the town. Good rooms , clean, comfortable bed, excellent shower, several power sockets available. But the real pleasure is breakfast: they serve whatever you may desire, sweet, salted, yogurt, the bread is delicious, cereals, fruit, cakes, brioche, bacon, sausage, cheese…etc. all high quality food. And it opens at 06:30, absolutely a convenient time for working people (many hotels nowadays open at 7:30 breakfast time, which I consider pretty much insulting for clients…). A special mention for personnel: very kind and professional, Mathias, Jenny and Karina do a remarkable job, making you feel very good, taking care of you, with proactive and helping attitude towards the client, something that nowadays you very rarely find anymore. We stayed for 3 nights in May whilst attending the motor racing. Relatively easily found - located between an autobahn and commercial area. Car park just about adequate for the hotel and popular adjacent eateries. Friendly, efficient staff. Modern, clean and functional hotel. Room was comfortable and well equipped - decent bathroom with shower over bath. My room (106?) faced the autobahn and a railway line in a cutting - as I sleep with the window open, the consequent noise was to be expected! Breakfast buffet was to a good quality with plenty of choice. The ladies servicing the buffet were especially cheerful - maybe thankful for a full hotel. Unsurprisingly not cheap, as you’d expect on a weekend with an event at the circuit (minutes drive away). Convenience comes at a price!

The hotel was newly built and very clean. The shower and washbasin were easy to use. The breakfast was delicious. There were two bottles of mineral water (hard water) in the room. It is about a minute's walk to the left after leaving the station. It is so close that you can see it from the platform, so it was very convenient. However, to go sightseeing in the city or Heidelberg Castle, you need to use a tram or bus, but the bus stop is right in front of the hotel, so if you do your research, it's not a problem. Please note that the tourist information at the station opens a little late, at 10:00 as of July 2024.

We were so glad to see this fully renovated hotel open in time for our visit to the Heidelberg Christmas Market (original opening date was projected for the end of December). The Hilton Heidelberg is an incredible facility, surpassed only by the amazing team working to provide the best possible experience! We have never been so graciously welcomed by so many on the team, including the General Manager, Remmie. Margarita and Katerina took great care of us during check in and were even able to upgrade us to a Junior Suite - what a welcome surprise! After settling in to our room, we had the pleasure of meeting Lubeth in the Executive Lounge who took care of every need and made us feel so welcome - always with a smile! The management team is definitely committed to hiring the best, but they are also clearly committed to leading by example. Vladimir (the restaurant manager) made a point of introducing himself and checking to be sure we were enjoying our stay and Sonja was so gracious when we were visiting the restaurant. Brent stopped by while we were in the Executive Lounge to be sure we were enjoying our visit and asked if there was anything he could do to help. Tim (a Heidelberg local) took time to share some of his favorite spots around town, as well as the hotel amenities and make sure we made the most of our time in town! I cannot remember another hotel stay where I could name more than 1-2 people on the staff - this team truly made us feel welcomed and valued! Thank you for a such a great experience!
