Absolutely fantastic stay at the Intercontinental for a conference. Staff super attentive and helpful throughout my stay. Room was exquisite - so comfortable and spotlessly clean. Buffet breakfast, lunch and dinners delicious. Highly recommended!

I've stayed in this hotel a number of times, and I've always been OK with it. Maybe I've never stayed in a "classic" room before, because the room was absurdly small. It started badly. I struggled to book an airport pickup because I made the mistake of traveling over the weekend, and they required me to send in a full flight itinerary. Unfortunately, the email I sent it to was the reservations email, and they had closed for the weekend. Eventually, I asked a friend in Lusaka to intervene, and they agreed to pick me up. The driver, a local taxi, showed up 30 minutes late driving an old beat up vehicle that normally would cost $10 from the airport. The hotel charged me $40 for the privilege. Then the room - Let me paint a picture of how small the room is - neither my sportcoat nor my shirts could fit into the closet. There was no place to keep my clothes other than in my suitcase. The bathroom was so tiny, there was no hook to hang a towel. The "desk" was just barely deep enough to accommodate a 13" laptop. For someone transiting through, maybe staying for 6-8 hours, or even a single night, this might be ok. But as I was meant to stay a week, this was impossible. I didn't give this hotel one star because the hotel staff was so nice and pleasant. Nonetheless, I checked out the next morning for a hotel with more space. I'll remain loyal to IHG, but skip this hotel.

I’ve been staying at the Intercontinental Lusaka for many years now. The hotel has very pleasant staff, who are very welcoming. The hotel is well laid out. The rooms are very comfortable. The pool and gym are nicely laid out. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Lusaka

Enjoyed my staycation with my 5 yo son. However, standards slipping a little compared to when we were there 4 months ago - no welcome drinks on arrival, check-in took 15-20 min although we were the only ones there (had to wait for housekeeping to ensure the room was ready, this is despite us showing up after check-in time of 3pm) no flower(s) in a vase in their premium room - was really lovely to have that before, no waste paper baskets in the sitting area or bathroom. Had dinner at their restaurant and again disappointing - ordered the mix seafood grill, and breakfast too was just bland. 4/10 for the food. Their restaurant staff may need a refresher training, they are also slipping compared to our last visit. the hotel was not busy so I'm unsure why service was not 10/10. Great gym and swimming area 10/10 for these, although the rain spoilt the latter on our first day there.

We had a very nice evening on Valentine’s Day . Delicious startters, main dishes from asian to Italian plus desserts, amazing music,ambiance and atmosphere, It was a lovely and so romantic night, Thank u Lusaka InterContinental Hotel 🌺🌺

The hotel staff are all extremely pleasant and friendly. The buffet for dinner was superb with an incredible variety of different food choices, and the breakfast on the 7th floor was fabulous with outstanding views. Room was clean with a fabulous tea/coffee station and comfortable cushions and fluffy towels. Great hote

Overall, this renovated property is very good. Some highlights: First, the staff is well trained and friendly. One of the (baggage) greeters named Fred was always friendly and went out of his way to be helpful. A similar commendations could be made for the front desk and fitness center staff. Second, my room was nicely appointed and impeccably cleaned each day. A big plus! Third, the large fitness center has almost brand new equipment. Fourth, the breakfast is outstanding! In addition, the breakfast room on the top floor provides a bright and welcoming atmostphere. My only negative to comment on would be the evening dinner. You cannot order of the menu in the main restaurant; the only option is a dinner buffet. I actually like dinner buffets; but, unfortuantely, the dinner buffet at the restaurant was underwhelming -- overcooked meats and dry cakes for dessert. Despite this one negative, the hotel is a true 5 star property. I will defintely look to stay here again when in Lusaka.

Beautiful experience, awesome staff, hospitality and deliciously prepared food. Just beautiful. The room was beyond our expectations, the showers, and bed was just wonderful, peaceful sleep and time we had at the hotel.

Honestly, i enjoyed my stay at the InterContinental hotel, Lusaka… the room was speciuos, super clean all the time; the entire room setup was just Wow! I will definitely choose to stay at the same hotel during my next visits and recommend the same to the people around me planning to go to Lusaka. The food was extremly delicious kudos to the chef🤩 i love tasty meals. Overall customer care was excellent. Cheers!!

The room was spacious and spotless, with great decor and crisp bed sheets. The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. All the necessities and luxuries like a tiny fridge, tea, coffee machine, water and evening snacks were provided . A large T.V with a king-size bed for comfortable sleep at night.

My stay was amazing at the hotel, the staff was really friendly. I forgot all the names, but the staff that was there during the Lusaka July was extremely professional and very helpful especially all the girls that were at lobby. I m giving them 5 stars for sure. Coming back really soon
