We booked the Junior Suite for a long weekend, so definitely not the cheapest room (it is probably the largest and there is only one of these). Arrival: First we had to find the hotel entrance. The hotel stairs are very steep if you arrive with luggage. But there is a small escalator right next door, you think. But you are not allowed to use it with luggage, which is practical. So we dragged our suitcases up the stairs. When we got to the top, we were told that there was also a lift in the very back corner, well hidden... Reception at reception: Limited to the bare essentials, cold. Room: Nice wooden floor, good big bed, big bathroom (called "wellness oasis" here), with big rain shower and super-mini sink. Big mirror, but it was always completely fogged up. No towel heater! The situation with the clothes storage is special. You have to keep your clothes in the bathroom. A bedside lamp remained broken during our entire stay. During the day the sun shone through the large window, but in the evening and at night it became very uncomfortably cold in the room, especially in the bathroom with the unheated stone floor. We reported this twice to reception. They couldn't set the heating any warmer at the moment, but would be happy to bring us a portable heater. We reported it twice, and nothing happened twice. Very bad! Positive: Clean, daily room cleaning is absolutely fine. Desk (with all connections), TV chair, 2-seater sofa and bench. Nespresso machine, "empty" minibar, which even cools very slightly. Surprise: relatively large private balcony (unfortunately very spartanly furnished). The room, which also functions as a Herzog and DeMeuron signature, is beautiful, quite elegant and probably also rather high-quality furnishings, even if the design seems a bit modern and cold (empty walls, no decoration). Check-out: Like check-in, cold, limited to the bare essentials. No questions asked how the stay was. Conclusion: We tried a hotel again after a long time. Next time we will definitely stay at AirBnb! Even the contactless check-in is often more personal and individual...

We booked the hotel for one night. Very nice hotel in the middle of the old town of Lucerne. The lounge on the seventh floor is highly recommended. We were there during the week, it wasn't busy, so it was an unforgettable evening. Breakfast is included in the price. Very extensive buffet, only the salmon was missing. We can recommend the hotel.

Given a room with a number starting with 1 - without mini bar and without courtesy tea/coffee, and requested a change which was given to us after a long discussion. Reported that they must specify it in the description. We were given a room number starting with 3 - They are located in two separate buildings. Internal parking costs 45 sfr. for less than 24 hrs.

A hotel of this category which has 2 bars on the 7th floor and one on the ground floor. The bass that still resonates at 2 a.m. In short, to avoid for a relaxing weekend. The staff may do their best, but we can only be disappointed with the stay. Please note that our room was on the 4th floor, therefore as far away as possible from the music venues.
