"Stepping into the room felt like being back in a school dorm, with bunk beds. The lower bunk was a bit cramped above my head, making it easy to hit my head. As it's a 1-star budget hotel, they don't provide tissues, a kettle, or a hairdryer. The transportation is relatively convenient; directly across the street is a bus stop for bus number 4, which takes you directly to Lucerne train station in three stops. Next to the bus stop is a Thai restaurant. I tried their curry rice, and it was quite good. This restaurant took over from the previous Chinese restaurant, Panda, so be aware that many apps haven't updated this information yet. It's much cheaper to buy water at Denner, which is opposite the restaurant; a 1L bottle of mineral water costs 0.5 Swiss francs, which is significantly cheaper than at the Ibis front desk."

"Right next to Lucerne train station, you can see it as soon as you step out. All of Lucerne's main attractions are nearby, and there was even a light show on the evenings we were there. The hotel sends a code via email that you can use for public transportation, but we didn't end up using it as we walked to all the main sights. There are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants right around the hotel, which was super convenient. The staff were very enthusiastic and incredibly nice. All in all, very satisfied."

"I recently stayed at Lucerne Capsule Hotel and had a mixed experience. The amenities provided were genuinely great — modern, convenient, and thoughtfully designed for travelers. Parking was also easy, with a parking facility available at the building next door, which made arrival and sel check-in very smooth. However, the biggest downside was the cleanliness of the room. My capsule and surrounding area had quite a lot of dust, which affected the overall comfort of the stay. With better housekeeping, this place could easily be a much stronger option for visitors. Overall, it’s a decent stay with good facilities, but cleanliness definitely needs improvement."

"Hands down, this is a very lovely hotel and is the most glittering gem in Lucerne. The place is….. - located in a vantage point that commands a superb view of the lake - nice and comfortable that puts it on the pedestal in the same league; - squeaky clean and spick and span; - very comfortable bed that you are mollycoddled, from the very first moment you hit the sack; - quiet and reclusive, and conveniences are a stone's throw away; - Facilities just as described Simply the best accommodation in Lucerne!"

"Lovely hotel with everything you need and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The only downside is that it is on a busy and loud strip, so there is constant noise, especially if you open the window. But other than that, it’s a great hotel."

"My first experience that the hotel unable to trace my booking from trip.com. I lodge the complaint to customer service and took an hour to resolved at reception. Not sure either hotel or booking platform having problems but both parties compensated coins and free breakfast to us."

"Everything went smoothly from the check-in process until I checked out the next day. I’m amazed at how a hostel like this can function without onsite staff. I’ve been traveling since 2014 and have always stayed in hostels, but this is the first time I’ve experienced such a completely different vibe. I loved everything, especially the hostel’s backyard view. I’d definitely stay again once I’m back in Luzern."

"Convenient location, accessible by car but complicated, must enter from the back of the river. Good service staff, smiling, luxurious room, beautifully decorated, beautiful river view, beautiful light in the room, we stayed 3 people, not cramped, the bed is soft and comfortable, it is also a shopping area, shops close early, maybe because it is winter, welcome drink tastes great."

"Hotel is a short easy walk of 7-8min from the Lucerne train station.. stayed in a comfortable room with 4 beds and comfortable space for 1 night. Few steps at entrance to Lobby which will need to be a consideration for anyone who needs wheelchair accessibility Nonetheless, the lovely chirpy receptionist on duty proactively helped us with 1 of the luggage which was a nice gesture. Check in was welcoming... Bathroom was comfortable and clean, bed as well. Only unfortunate thing was the next door started knocking some renovation/works at 8am in the morning... Other than that everything else was lovely. ."

"It's a prison converted hotel, more like a hostel. Location is great, 10 minute's walk from train station. The room is very small, although our room has the toilet. Two suitcases cannot left open at same time.The luggage storage room near the entrance is unlocked, and not kept attended, and my suitcase belt was stolen in a few hours."
