Lucerne Hotels with Wifi

"First off, the location isn't too far from Lucerne train station. We had a Swiss Pass, so we could take the bus for free. We rode one stop, got off, crossed a road, and turned left – super convenient! Many bus routes pass by, and Chapel Bridge is just a walk away. The hotel upgraded us to a deluxe double room, which was much larger. There was plenty of space for luggage, and it didn't feel cramped at all. The room was clean, and they provided two large bottles of water daily, which was enough for our needs. Everything was great, and the only reason I didn't give full marks was the extra tax charged, as others have mentioned. Initially, the front desk staff was polite. When I showed them my booking confirmation, pointing out that the tax on the order differed from what I actually paid, they looked at it for a while, then unhappily replied, 'I don't know.' I ended up contacting Ctrip customer service. They told me they'd contacted the hotel but couldn't negotiate. Finally, Ctrip customer service said they would compensate the difference with points, which arrived quickly – kudos to Ctrip! Many people have brought up this tax issue, and I'm not sure where the problem lies. Other hotels in Switzerland charged exactly what was stated on the booking. Only this hotel charged differently. Although it wasn't a lot of money, it felt a bit uncomfortable. Also, someone mentioned a 100 CHF deposit per day, which they indeed charged. When I checked out, I specifically asked when it would be refunded, and the front desk said the same day, which it was. In Lucerne, there's a Chinese restaurant called No. 8 that serves delicious Chinese food, completely authentic to domestic tastes. The owner is also very nice and polite."

"The room is very warm, the window is the cattle and horses of the farmers, very good natural environment, very quiet, breakfast is very rich. The location is a few hundred meters from the city center train station. It is very convenient to take a S6 from the city center train station for ten minutes."

"The Spanish restaurant downstairs is definitely worth trying, especially in a country like Switzerland where good food can be hard to find. I recommend booking a room with breakfast; it's very refined and includes freshly made omelets. It's less than a ten-minute walk to the train station, which is quite convenient. After check-in, they email you a guest card that allows free rides on the city buses. Overall, I would still recommend it."

"The room size was decent, clean, and tidy, with daily housekeeping. The location is excellent, right next to the train station, and very close to attractions like the Covered Bridge and the Octagonal Tower. There's also an art museum directly opposite, featuring works by masters like Picasso and Renoir. The staff were very helpful and enthusiastic when assisting with luggage storage."

"The location is incredibly convenient, right next to the train station. Downstairs, there's a McDonald's and a Starbucks, and it's close to the bridge for easy access to boats heading to Mount Rigi. The only downside was the curtains didn't block out much light, so the room was quite bright at night. The evening I stayed, Spain won their semi-final match, and the street below was filled with fans honking horns and celebrating, which was a bit noisy."

"Location: About a ten-minute walk to the station, or there's a bus stop just a 2-minute walk away with frequent buses that take you directly there in three stops – very convenient. It's also just a few minutes' walk to the Splosht Bridge and easy to walk to the lively Old Town. Service: The front desk staff were very friendly, and there were complimentary drinks in the lobby until 5 PM. Room: We stayed in a top-floor room with a balcony that offered a great view. However, there was no air conditioning, but they provided two fans and a kettle. The only downside was that the bed was quite poor and sagged a bit, which is a definite negative. Breakfast: We stayed for three days. On the first day, which was a Saturday, there was smoked salmon and melon, but these weren't available on the subsequent two days. Generally, there were scrambled eggs, various cold cuts and cheeses, bread, and a coffee machine where you could get a cappuccino. The female staff member at breakfast (wearing glasses) was particularly efficient, quietly doing a lot of work and very polite – she's a real asset. Overall, I'd give breakfast an 80%. Summary: Very good, exceeded expectations."

"1 of the most grand & luxurious hotels I've stayed in Switzerland. Very international standard. The room is very comfortable & very high end. They gave complimentary chocolates, toothbrushes (the only hotel that provided these in the whole of my Switzerland trip) & Dyson hairdryer. The service from the staffs here is top notch! The spa is the best quality! My wife & I really enjoyed our time using the sauna, steam room & relaxation area. We went back twice. Also celebrated my wife's birthday at Minamo Restaurant. Best Japanese Omakase dinner we ever had. My wife & I discussed on how are we ever gonna look at Japanese food the same ever again."

"The hotel is more than 500 years old and has a sense of history. The rooms are clean and spacious. The service is warm and welcoming. The restaurant is decorated in a European classical style with a warm flavor. The hotel is in a prime location, close to the river and a 10-minute walk from the train station, which is very convenient."

"A very clean castle hotel with a classic feel. The toiletries are also British brands. The breakfast is satisfactory. The location is excellent and you can overlook the whole city. The hotel is quiet and comfortable. It gave me a very good and warm feeling. If there is another chance, I will bring my family here again."

"The hotel located face the park but turn right after the street where see McDonald then will see a “Bar” restaurant . Not far from subway and consider convenient Room was clean and reception was helpful, just that there is no lock inside the room where room cleaning lady came in after 2 knocks."
