Central location. Hotel has character. Comfy beds. Nice evening bar. Friendly and helpful blonde girl on reception (sorry didn’t get name). Handy parking if you reserve early enough. Sadly, lots of things didn’t work in the room: air conditioning unit (no air hot or cold); extractor in bathroom (not v nice!); telephone! None were looked into. Not good enough for the money. All of those things will have been out of order for some time I imagine. Wouldn’t go back - too much choice in Maastricht!

We hebben samen met het gezin, vier volwassenen een kind van 5 en een baby, een paas lunch genomen bij Fitz Roy. We kozen een drie gangen lunch menu, ruime keuze mogelijkheden van zeebaars, Krei tot tartaar of gort, alles prima combinatie van smaken en goed verfijnd. Het dessert zoet of gesorteerde kaasjes voor een heel kleine meerprijs ronden het eten af. Wijn keuze, ook voor het dessert is ruim en met 30 euro voor een gemiddelde fles zeker niet te duur. Daarna koffie met meerdere lekkere kleine zoetigheden. Een heel dik compliment aan de, overwegend jonge dames die de bediening voor hun rekening nemen.

Nice boutique hotel in a good location and looked like it had a lovely outside courtyard area in the summer. We had a room on the top floor which was lovely. My only thing was breakfast which i didn't think was value for money.

Excellent hotel with great, friendly, helpful staff. Freshly made, a-la-carte breakfast. Great evening meal, although the menu is 4,5 or 6 courses and doesn't change very often so you are unlikely to keep going back each night because you will get the same meal again. We stayed in a junior suite which overlooked the road but with double glazing plus another single glazed window it was perfectly quiet. They have secure luggage storage and secure parking for an extra charge, but overall we found the price reasonable. The location is hard to beat - a few minutes walk from the town hall and Vrijthof Square so easy to get to lots of other restaurants and the main sights. A bit more wardrobe space and some more flat clothes storage would be useful for longer stays. The safe is quite small compared to some I have come across.

De superior room was superior. Heerlijke plek vlakbij de markt maar aan de achterkant van het pand opvallend rustig. De medewerkers maken er echter de beste belevenis van. Ouderwets aandacht voor de gasten en echt bezig met het naar de zin maken. Eigen parkeerplaats (betaald) in de stad is ook veel waard.

Quirky little boutique hotel in a great location on the edge of the old town.
Good choice of eating places within a few minutes walk.
Shops are 5 mins away.
Rooms/bathrooms were clean and bed was super comfy.
Would stay here again if visiting Maastricht.

Position of the hotel was fantastic and staff very helpful, although reception was closed when i wanted to check out at 7.30 which made me late for a meeting. Lift was out of action temporarily but we were notified of this well in advance. Overall, i would definitely recommend and use it again.
