Cute little hotel in the heart of Maastricht. The staff is very accommodating and friendly and try everything to make the stay pleasant. It has a hostel vibe, but is perfectly adequate if you don't expect the utmost luxury. The rooms seem a bit ”self-made” but nevertheless it is quite nice here. The price is absolutely fair and the steep staircase keeps you fit and saves you the gym. 😁 The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean and plain decorated. The bar downstairs is a great place to end the evening with some cocktails.🍸 There are a few parking spaces that come with the hotel, which makes the stay even more relaxing and easy. All in all, the hotel is highly recommended! 😊

This small hotel has a perfect location, in an old house facing the river Maas, in the most picturesque part of the historic center, near charming shops and restaurants. It’s clean. The rooms are modern, minimalist but well thought out. No breakfast, no coffee makings in the room, no drawers or shelves, certainly no safe, hair dryer only on request from the front desk- it’s not luxe, and a bit of a challenge for older travelers. I didn’t find the staff rude- egalitarian, perhaps- brusque when dealing with complaining, entitled guests but otherwise friendly and very helpful. They were young and cool enough that we actually took their restaurant suggestions.

Great hostel, really close to Maastricht central station. I had a bunk bed in the shared room. The bed had a good mattress and a relatively high amount of privacy for a shared room (one side of each bed is closed, so you can't see anyone when lying in bed). The general vibe was relaxed, breakfast was great. Recommended!

Jekerkwartier
I traveled to Maastricht for Carnival weekend with fellow international students from my university. We were placed in a 4 person room with bunk beds that had semi-privacy apparatuses with outlets and reading lights. Our two other friends were placed in a room around the corner. The shower and sink were adequate and the front desk service was helpful and pleasant. Due to over-booking, they placed us in a different room the next day which that made our stay a little complicated, but there was a luggage room for storage. This room was for 7 people and was smaller than our last room. Six other friends arrived the next night and were placed around the corner from our room. We chose not to have breakfast at the hostel but the cafe was open to people resting at tables or doing face paint. Beautiful view from the riverside of the hostel. Walking distance from Albert Hein, a coffee shop, and a liquor store all across the bridge, also close to the parade route and Vrijthof (best strip of bars). I would recommend Stayokay Maastricht to friends and traveling parties who prefer a cheaper option.
