We went for a dining experience, we had a great night, all the food was fabulous and the staff were very attentive and catered to all of our needs. Special shout out to Sara and Quin who were top tier! Thank you for an amazing night, we will be back.

Visited with my partner for a relaxing weekend. Rooms were nice and barneys nice food and ambience. When checking in paid the extra £15pp for the evening spa. Was told available from 5pm so on arrival at 5pm we visited the spa to be told they are at full capacity so couldn’t use the spa we paid for. Was told to come back in the morning and we can access the spa the next day. Spoke with someone on check in reception to be told out of inconvenience she would allow us full day access til 6pm to use the spa as a good will gesture. We as a couple were happy with this and thought the good will gesture was a nice touch. However when going to the spa the next morning we was then told again no availability. As a couple we felt extremely disappointed and was informed of incorrect information not for the first time. No communication between staff and was told for health and safety reasons there’s nothing they could do. I’m not disputing the fact that health and safety isn’t important however staff shouldn’t tell guests they have access to the spa without checking capacity first as it’s only caused a dissatisfaction to our stay. We tried to be as understanding as possible but being constantly let down with miscommunication and in factual information completely put a downer on our stay. We traveled to come specifically to this hotel and was extremely looking forward to a relaxing stay but seems asif they’re happy to take money but not inform of capacity ahead of our visit. Communication needs a lot of work. Having told we wouldn’t use the spa the next day meant we couldn’t take advantage of our 11am check out. We would of spent longer relaxing in our room having known we couldn’t use the spa. 9:30 and we’re leaving what was meant to be a relaxing stay. Wouldn’t recommend and absolutely wouldn’t return.

Visiting the hotel, it was nice, though some areas a little worn. The food at Carringtons Grill was lovely however. We received excellent & attentive service from Pete, a temporary member I believe, he was second too non. We’ve never had such a perfect Maitre ‘d who took time out of a busy dinner time to ask about our day & plans. First class service 👏

I was attending an event at Mottram Hall, on arrival we were greeted by a lovely young lady called Harriet with the loveliest of smiles..she looked after us so brilliantly, she was so attentive all evening. She made are time at Mottram so enjoyable

It’s clear that the focus on this hotel is on the spa. The spa is impeccable. The whole venue, grounds are all very impressive and well maintained. However, then you step inside the actual hotel. It’s very tired the rooms are dated and are worn down. The wallpaper in my room was all bubbled and the glasses in the bathroom were filthy. Cracked tiles, mould and mildew in the shower. None of the bars here have draft ( unless you go to the clubhouse ) the ‘ cocktail bar ‘ had very overpriced bottles and the decor in there is woeful. Soft pink furnishings made it look like a room from a Barbie playset. Trying to look boutique however it’s nowhere near that. On to breakfast. Powdered eggs were freezing, tomatoes, freezing, sausages were really good but that’s about as good as it got. Staff waiting around to do something had to wait for ages to get a cup of tea. Finally, is it worth the money? No, not a chance. It needs investment, heavy investment into refurbing the rooms and bar area. The saving grace was the receptionist. She was a breath of fresh air and made me feel very welcome.

Lovely stay, it is very tired but it was clean , lunch was ok dinner was was nice but I would not choose the breakfast if it wasn’t included in the package, the golf didn’t interest us. Loved the spa it wasn’t over crowded and got to use all the facilities.

Great food and lovely cocktails in Carrington Grill. Lovely waiter called Ethan who made the evening, great service and with impeccable manners. Hotel was fabulous too, spa was nice but a little too busy. Would recommend the restaurant, spa would try and book in the week when it's not as busy.

We had a great dinner at carrington grill, Ethan served us and he was a total delight!! Please pass our thanks to him for making such a lovely evening.
