📍 Pott Shrigley, Pott Shrigley

"I took my wife here for her 60th, amazing staff receptionist charlotte was warm and knowledgable, very kind giving us a token due to birthday. The infinity pool is amazing warm clean, Shrigley would make much more money if they served drinks while in the pool, but we would still be there now. The rooms are adiquate they are clean, the shower's are amazing, Dinning for evenning meal again was excellent, the service is 11/10 and I have been in a number of Spa the meal cost were really well priced with excellent food. Breakfast in the morning self service again pleanty to choose from and again tasty with great choice. It is a amazing spa with the ability toplay gold or have a number of treatments, and well priced, I will return there"

Premier Inn Macclesfield North

Premier Inn Macclesfield North ★★★

📍 Tytherington Business Park, Springwood Way, Macclesfield

"The hotel is unfortunately in a mobile not spot/dead zone. So – at least if you use the EE or Vodafone networks – there is no mobile signal for calls or data roaming; worst on the western side of the hotel. This extends to the other parts of the business park – it amazes me that these businesses collectively accept this situation rather than securing eg a booster mast. This was critical, as during my stay, after negative comments about the state of the wifi at the hotel, they decided to upgrade/improve it, which went wrong, so there was no wifi at all. No wifi, no roaming, no phone calls – you suddenly realise how indispensable this is for modern day life. Consequently, for any emails/calls/messaging, I had to drive to a car park lay-by about a mile away to conduct my business and I missed a key Zoom call at the hotel through lack of any available communication channel. There seemed no sense of urgency at the front desk trying to fix the issue. Otherwise, the hotel was very nice indeed. I knew there was no AC on booking, but the south facing room did become quite warm. The room was as clean and well presented as ever. Some minor background traffic noise when the window was open. Breakfast in the adjoining Beefeater was very nice, although it is ordering from the host rather than self-service for the hot options, which I like less than the buffet, as it takes longer/involves more faff. But a very relaxing dining area and everything was in stock."

Mottram Hall ★★★★

📍 Wilmslow Road, Mottram, Macclesfield

"It was clean, staff were friendly. Their determination to be cashless was frustrating as unionpay cards are not accepted. Location is fine if you drive, otherwise you will be reliant on taxis."

Travelodge Hotel - Macclesfield Central ★★★
"First time at this hotel. Had a 5 night stay. Pleasant welcome on arrival (Emma). Allocated a top floor room which suited me perfectly. Room smelled nice and afresh on arrival and everything was clean and in working order. No air-conditioning, but a room fan was provided and definitely useful in the hot weather. I'm not a great fan of air conditioning... prefer to be able to open windows, which you could do at this hotel and use the simple room fan provided. Lifts both working... definitely needed for the upper levels when carrying bags in and out. Using the stairs coming down gave good views of the surrounding area. My room was on the rear of the building, so quite quiet. You can hear the church bells from St Michael's ringing the quarter hours and chiming out the hours but I liked this as it wasn't overly loud and helped me keep track of the time. Birds singing and the rustling of leaves on the trees outside in the breeze I found calming. Parking has restrictions directly in front of the hotel, but there is a pay park just steps away in front of the hotel which is not unreasonably priced. Time it right and you might get a bit of parking time for free. Great central access for the town, other modes of transport (rail), and also for the Peak District. Good value for money. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again."

And everything was well organised. Spa pool was too hot on the first day, 5minutes in there was unbearable."

Travelodge Macclesfield Adlington ★★★
"Good location on the edge of a beautiful town called Poynton, quiet location with country views but also within easy access to several facilities such as the local shops, petrol station, restaurants and take aways including Toby carvery. The atmosphere is good, the hotel feels homely because of the staff attitudes, very welcoming, friendly, helpful and also professional. Rooms are good size, large with everything we need which includes an ensuite, tea and coffee facilities, a fan and extra pillows. Our rooms were very clean and tidy, bed is very comfortable. We had our two little dogs with us as this was a family holiday. We were able to take them out for a walk in the quiet country lane nearby and staff were good to them. In general the hotel is very good, good location, amazing staff especially Emma at the Reception and good value for money. The only negative is that our dogs cost more than us at £25/dog/night, and no refund policy if one of them was not able to make it as we have an elderly dog whom we might have had to put her to sleep before going on holiday. We highly recommend Travelodge Macclesfield Adlington. In fact this was our 4th time there on our way to Scotland. (Mew family June2026)"

"You're not going to stay here for the views or the facilities... but if you want a good value comfortable night's sleep then I can't fault it. Room was clean and well presented. Staff were friendly and helpful. Just what I needed for a good value one night stay. Breakfast was quite reasonable too."

Hollin House Hotel ★★★
"Lovely hotel for a wedding we visited, very elegant and staff lovely. Only negative I have is that I booked two rooms and put in the notes asking for them to be close by each other. There were several of our party with the same surname, so they grouped them all together but not the second room I had booked - I was told I had apparently booked two different types of rooms but I hadn’t. Thankfully one of our group swapped so we could be together but it put a bit of a sourness over the stay. Besides that, it was lovely."

"Beautiful location, tranquil and peaceful. The room was very comfortable and spacious and set opposite the lake. The spa facilities are excellent. Access to the pool is included in the spa break package, otherwise it would cost hotel residents £20."
