We stayed in the main house, upstairs, in the Macon suite. Room was nice and cool. No real street noise, fresh flowers in the room, very clean. Bathroom is a little dated, but functions well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Owen enjoyed the many period antiques and adornments. Happy hour on the massive porch from 5 to 6 was great hospitality. The bar was well stocked, and the nibbles were freshly made. We appreciated this before heading to the Macon Bacon baseball game, which was a hoot. The breakfast was limited but made to order, and was delicious. Bacon was perfect as was the coffee. The neighborhood is ripe with beautiful historic homes. We did a short walk after breakfast creating our own mini tour and enjoyed the opulence of the area. Would stay again.
