To start, we are supposed to check in at 3 PM and they didn’t check us in until 6 PM. I booked the hotel well in advance, and after 9 hours on the road this was very frustrating. The room was also very VERY dirty. The fridge was OFF and warm when we i to the room. Dishwasher ran and trash emptied is about the extent of cleaning

When I checked in to the Homewood Suites, I had just left another hotel in Macon because of issues with that hotel. It was late and I was frustrated/not in a great mood. However, that quickly changed when I encountered Jackie at the front desk that night. She was very friendly and welcoming and provided great service over the several days that I stayed here. Anne who worked mornings at the front desk was also very friendly and provided great service throughout my stay. My room was nice and was clean. Nothing fancy, but it served me well and I slept well here each night. It is important to note that this hotel seems to be very safe and the area of town around it feels safe because I learned that is not the case in all parts of Macon (hence the issues with my first hotel). Although I typically stay at Marriott hotels not Hilton properties, if I am every back in Macon, I will definitely return to this location.

To start off with the front desk receptionist when we checked in was absolutely fantastic !!
The breakfast was amazing and we really enjoyed it.
But the room was subpar to say the least. The toilet ran FOREVER. It was almost unbearable during the night. We had to constantly jig the handle under the lid after using the bathroom. That needs to be fixed asap.
Another issue was that we only had ONE washcloth for the room.
It just wasn’t the best experience we have had at a Hilton and we stay often.

I stayed here one night. It was very late, so I was too tired to complain. The bathroom floor was dirty and there was no shampoo. I have gone through Guest Services for the chain and also directly to the motel itself. The process has been long and repetitive. My refund was denied.

Where to start? As a wheelchair user, we had booked an accessible room, which was at the furthest end of the hotel. The receptionist, who was very polite, used a map to show us how we needed to go to the other entrance (not the one closest to the room/elevator, as that had steps), really? So we had to go to the other entrance, along the hallway, to take the elevator to go back along the hallway to get to the room! YES! I guess they don't use that area much, there were cleaning carts left out and garbage on the floor. We get to our room, the dishwasher is running cleaning the dishes so we do know someone had been in the room. But that was about all the evidence there was. The comforter had a large stain, the rest of the room was far from clean, hand prints everywhere, the headboard was dirty. The whole room was tired and in need of new furniture and a good clean. The towels were awesome, lots of fresh, fluffy,. clean towels but that was the best I've got. Disappointing.
