Hostal Oriente

Centralissimo, l’hotel è comunque silenzioso. Pulito e confortevole. Personale gentile e professionale. Servizi essenziali, niente colazione, ma dirimpetto un ottimo bar per colazioni ricche e varie. Da consigliare per girare a piedi il centro città.

For a Hostal this one is of superior category with excellent service. Large enough.

Very central and comfortable. Small but everything clean and in good condition. I loved that it has so many things to do and eat nearby.

Excellent location. Metro station operates in front. Starbucks and other breakfast options at your fingertips. 5 minutes walk from Plaza del Sol, 2 minutes from the most famous churreria, a stone's throw from the Palacio Real. Very small room. Bathroom almost in the room. Heating with radiator, not manageable. On the third floor there is a vending machine for soft drinks and hot drinks but not hot water. On Booking we read that the room has a patio... in reality they explained to us that it means "patio view"! That is, I overlook the internal courtyard. The light never enters. The rooms on the upper floor overlook the street which however is noisy until late at night. No soundproofing. Nocturnal noises presumably from exhausts from other rooms. Narrow corridors. Generally in need of modernization.

The staff is friendly and very helpful. However, the comfort of the rooms is not optimal from the point of view of soundproofing.
