The property was in a good location within Madrid, but the street was somewhat rundown. The hotel was the same. It just did not meet my standards. It was old and tattered. We ended up departing after one night and took another hotel. You know that you in the wrong place when the hotel supplies ear plugs on the night stand.

If you want a place to sleep and are planing on being on the city a lot and not in the room then this is the place. It is small but works if you are on a budget. The only complain is the the street is loud up until 3-4am so it is a little difficult to get rest. They provide earplugs to help and of course this is not their fault, it’s just the neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay and it helped us keep the budget available for other activities.

It is close to Gran Via and restaurants, but it is not comfortable.

Really centrally located with Gran Via just steps away. The room was a great size and was also very clean with a hair dryer, towels, ear plugs, and water provided. Air conditioner in the room was excellent. Our room had a mini fridge, which was nice. The bathroom in our room was tiny and difficult for even one person to move around in. It was also VERY dark in the bathroom and we had to use the flashlight on our cell phone to add lighting. While all the towels provided were super clean, they definitely felt like they had been washed one too many times and were very rough. We had a room that overlooked Calle Hortaleza and it gets very loud at night. We slept with ear plugs, which helped, but the noise goes all through the night. The wifi in our room was very spotty, too. There are 5 different wifi networks to choose from for the hostal but our room got only 2 of them and even those 2 would go in and out. It’s a perfect “no frills” place if all you’re looking to do is shower & sleep in your room. Despite some room for improvement, I would definitely recommend staying here due to the amazing location & cleanliness of everything.

Located a literal two minute walk to Gran Via and one of the cheapest places to rent a room in Madrid. The staff were friendly and always at hand to help if needed. The rooms themselves are nicely sized, and the bathroom has a shower that is also half a bath (this was one of my favourite parts of my entire holiday, don't knock it until you try it). Rooms have air-con and although there is some structural noise, it wasn't an issue at night time. There is also baggage storage for the day you are leaving, so you don't have to carry cases on your last day. The shop next door opens late as well if people need to get last minute items. Cara is an absolute sweetheart and I love her. So if you are staying there, do look out for her. Give her rubs and tell her that I miss her lol If I return to Madrid, I will be staying here again. It was more than worth the price that we paid.

A hostel that doesnt feel like one. Rooms are spacious with free toiletries and water replaced when room is cleaned. They have a sign on door so you can decide when you want your room cleaned. Private bathroom ours had a shower tub. There is also a communal bathroom if needed which is spotless. Walls a bit thin for noise but with heat too tired to care. Has a lift for guests who cant use the stairs. Friendly staff clean rooms at a good price in a perfect location and favourite staff member cara made our week.

We rented an appartment with two bedrooms, it has an amazind livingroon, kitchen and exterior terrace. It is located a few meter from the "Cristo del Sol"

Lovely hostal spotless clean, very friendly staff and the beautiful Cara such a lovely place to visit. So central to everything less then 10 min walk to Gran Via and main shops. Only downfall was the noise the walls are very thin and can hear everything from the other rooms a few noisy guests but would stay here again very comfortable beds. Room was always cleaned when needed. Highly recommend
