Veramente ottimo, posizione ottima per poter visitare madrid, camera assolutamente pulita, letto comodo e la notte si dorme veramente bene con pochissimi rumori nonostante la strada sotto. I proprietari gentili e cortesi attenti a tutti i bisogni. Grazie tornerò presto

If you are looking for a luxurious living experience, this is not the place for you. If you don't mind climbing 49 steps to your simple room, it's clean, has safe, simple single bed, shower, no satellite TV, walkable to Retiro Park, Plaza Mayor, Prado, from Anton Martin metro station It only takes 5 minutes to come here, and it's actually a good deal to live here. The people who run the hotel speak English and are happy to help if needed.

After leaving HOSTALIN and its greedy cash payment receptionist, to the point of wanting to rip me off, I headed to hostal SAN ANTONIO. Since check-in was at 2 p.m., I could only leave my luggage. Not a place to settle down yourself in this type of Hostal. After drinking tea then wandering for more than 2 hours in the freezing streets of Madrid, I showed up at the hostel. Formalities completed and room settled: unpleasant surprise. Although I had requested a double room with a double bed (request confirmed by the reservation site) I found myself in a small room with 2 beds. Furthermore, the room is not only located right next to the reception but also opposite the front door. I went to ask for explanations from the owner of the place who told me that only this room was available and tried to give me an explanation blaming the reservation site. Too bad he told me all this after I checked out. Last night, between the comings and goings of customers and the chill caught in the streets of Madrid, was not peaceful. The next day: sick! Check out at 11 a.m. and only bus to Paris at 8 p.m. When I tried to explain my situation to the owner, she pretended not to understand anything. I understood that I could leave my luggage but not my person. Nothing was offered to me, for example to leave the premises at noon as was specified in my reservation. I was forced to leave the place, feverish and weakened. I'm giving up on my day spent in Madrid in freezing cold.

The best thing about this small hostel is the location, a step away from Atocha, the Antón Martín metro station and the Plaza de Santa Ana. An area with a lot of nightlife, so there are people until late at night around. The rooms are small but quite clean. The bed is wide and quite comfortable, and the air conditioning works perfectly. The worst thing about the room is the shower, which is almost hard to get into, how tiny it is. In addition, the wall makes a strange shape so the shower curtain does not cover the space well and in the end you end up putting the entire floor full of water. I saw it quite quiet, without noise at night. The attention of the staff is quite attentive, although I only saw people at the reception the day I arrived. The rest of the days I did not see anyone. Of course, they give you 3 keys so that you can come and go whenever you want without having to call the doorman.

I had to spend a night in Madrid and for 32 euros that came out I can not ask for more. Very well located with a lot of atmosphere around, small but clean room and the WiFi worked. For 1 night I would repeat for its adequate value for money
