Hostal normal. La habitación estaba bien, cama cómoda y tenía un pequeño lavabo y espejo dentro de la habitación. El baño estaba fuera puesto que era compartido. En cuanto al precio me pareció excesivo, 80€ una noche, por muy en el centro que esté es un hostal, ni siquiera hotel, y son precios abusivos. Algo que no me gustó es la hora del checking a las 14h cuando el checkout es a las 11, tan temprano. Lo dicho, por una necesidad de 1 noche está bien pero no más por el precio.

Hostal Palacios is centrally located in Madrid and within walking distance of the main tourist attractions. The street itself is a major walking street (no cars) and has tons of shopping and eating options. I took the Metro from the airport to get there and it was fairly straightforward, efficient and inexpensive. The room was very clean with a private bath. Staff were friendly and accommodating. My room was very quiet compared to the busy foot traffic outside the hostal. My only complaint is that on my second day I had no hot water. I reported this around 5 pm and was told it would be looked after but there was still no water by my departure the following day at 7:30 am. Still, I would stay here again.

Room 10, 2nd "double" floor with bathroom. The worst hotel/hostel room of my life. The floor slabs all broken and detached from the ground; There is no shower tray but an old repainted mini-bathtub (with the paint peeling off) with a curtain; mold on the ceiling; There is no hook to hang the hand shower, which is from the 70s; A/C control without cover... tape to hold the batteries (which always fall out) and many times it doesn't work; wooden roller blind held by a string. To never return. I have photos.
