Atocha Hotel Madrid, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

The room was very comfortable, very clean and perfect for our family of 3. Five stars to the wonderful staff who went out of their way to help us, they answered all of our questions with a smile. Without them it wouldn't be possible to have such a great stay.

We took the bus at the airport (#203 for 5 Euros per person for a 30 minute ride) to the Atocha Train station. From there, it was about a 20-30 minute walk uphill to the hotel with 5 or 6 steps up to the hotel. Marta, at the front desk, was very warm and welcoming. She offered us a coffee when she heard we did not get much sleep on the plane and our room would not be ready (we arrived around 8 am) and offered us a map with what to see and where to go for tapas. We left our bags with the the nice bellhop while we went out to explore the town until our room was ready. They sent us a text us when it was ready. The room was a lovely studio with a wall separating the bedroom and the dining table and chairs with a large bar across one wall when you walk in, and a nice size bathroom with a make-up mirror. The coffee maker in the room was very much appreciated as well. As Hilton Gold members, the hand-written welcome letter, welcome chocolate, two bottles of water, and free breakfast buffet the next day was wonderful. The breakfast was a great Spanish-American buffet with ham and cheddar omelet, potato omelet like my Spanish friend makes, black beans, Iberian bacon, Salchidas sausage, and vegetables (red cabbage, broccoli, carrots) with cakes, fresh orange slices, apple compote, cheese, cold cuts, and honey with the honeycomb still attached, and cappuccinos and fresh orange juice. We also ate in the restaurant for dinner and had a very dinner. The Ham and Cheese croquettes were fluffy on the inside with a light crunch outside - just heavenly. The tomato and walnut salad was huge. the Roasted beef on one shank was more than enough for two - three even and was moist and tender. The hotel is in walking distance to several attractions, about 16 min or 0.7 miles to Plaza Mayor and 25 min or 1.1 miles to the Royal Palace along with some other restaurants closer. We had a very nice stay at this Hilton property, and the front desk staff and bellhop with a beard were very friendly and gracious, and the breakfast and dinner restaurant staff made us feel welcomed.

For us this hotel was an excellent choice. The location is perfect for walking to a lot of popular sites, such as the Prado Museum. Our room was comfortable, very modern and very clean. We also had wonderful interactions with the staff, including Rubin and Miriam (I may have the wrong names- we wrote them down, but then lost the note!). They were really great, offering two weary travelers some advice about where to eat and drink as well as practical advice about the area. They also helped us practice our Spanish, which we have been working on, but is still intermediate level at best. They both spoke English as well as we do, but persevered in Spanish to help us. Really great customer service, which is rare these days in our experience.

I had a wonderful stay at Atocha Hotel Madrid, Tapestry Collection by Hilton during my solo trip to Madrid. The large, spotlessly clean room provided a beautiful view from the balcony, and the excellent noise-proofing ensured a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel's convenient location within walking distance of the metro, bus stops, and major attractions such as Retiro Park and the Prado Museum, coupled with friendly staff who allowed early check-in and held onto my bags after checkout, made for a seamless experience. While the building entrance may pose challenges for those with accessibility issues or heavy bags, overall, I highly recommend this hotel and plan to return with my family on a future visit to Madrid.

Beautiful classic Hilton hotel. Victor, Miriam and Ruben provided extraordinary service! They recommended several good restaurants and sightseeing suggestions. They were always ready to assist with a smile. The room was spacious, modern, and clean. The restaurant was nice but no bar seating. This hotel is in a great location just 15 minute walk to major shopping, restaurants and nightlife. As a Diamond member this hotel does not provide perks or other benefits which other Hilton properties have provided.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Atocha Hotel Madrid. We arrived at the hotel by 7am; front desk had housekeeping prioritize getting our room ready; and around noon we were told we could access our room. We appreciated that kind gesture very much! Hotel is very well located, within walking distance to many places of interests, restaurants and shops. Room is spacious, modern, clean. They have two of the friendliest bellmen, Javier and Victor; they were so friendly and helpful, always asking if we need recommendations or help with reservations, getting taxis, etc. Housekeeping is wonderful, we sometimes come back middle of the day for siesta; room is always already cleaned and tidied up. While we do enjoy coffee and breakfast at the hotel,(the staff were very friendly, too) we have to point out that they serve the same things every day(we stayed for a week). Overall, we loved our stay here and if we visit Madrid again, we would stay in this hotel again!
