We stayed at this hotel over the Easter Holiday. We loved it. The rooms were cleand and well appointed. The rest of the hotel was also clean with many areas to sit and socialize. We at at the hotel's restaurant on 2 occasions. It has a somewhat limited menu which we enjoyed. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is in the Salamanca district, which one of our guides described as the "posh" part of Madrid. Looking our the window of our room, we could see the US Embassy. We liked the fact the window in the room opened, so we could let the cool night air into the room. There is a gellato shop (Gelateria La Romana Dal 1947 (really good) and an Indian restaurant (Doli Resturante Indio) and a Mediterranian restaurant (Makkila de Serrano) all within a 1 minute walk from the hotel. We ate at each and liked each. The Gellato place is really, really good. There are 2 metro stations about a 5 minute walk away. Taxis are not expensive in Madrid, but the metro is lets say 3X cheaper and way more fun.
