The entrance is a bit tricky. Look for the only stone archway on the facade of the building and enter there. Walk down the small hallway to the end and ring the front desk from an old intercom. They'll buzz you in and then take the elevator to the 4th floor. They'll buzz you in to the hostel entrance when you get to the 4th floor. Nobody spoke English but we found that the front desk is always staffed so you'll be able to get into the property at any time day or night. We had zero problems in this regard.
You're within walking distance of Prado, 10 minutes. There are a many, many restaurants and things to do near by. I would stay again without hesitation.

The pillows are very uncomfortable and you cannot leave your luggage at reception. However, upon arrival I was not able to use the room until five in the afternoon. However, the location is fantastic. They should improve.

A basic room with all the amenities. Great location. Staff very welcoming; spoke little English. The room was spotless. Good air-conditiong. Few minutes walk to the Prado. They had a safe. Someone was there to buzz you in 24 /7.

In the very center of Madrid. In Plaza Sol. We didn't need to take the metro at all. Some noise at night. During that month the air conditioning was not working. So we couldn't close the window. The trea**ent and cleaning is super good.
