Katiliya Mountain Resort is a beautiful and we'll maintained property that has excellent service and offerings. While we were there, we were amongst the hand full of guest that where staying for a few nights. We stayed in the mountain suite, which has magnificent views of the valley, and the largest bath tub I've ever seen. Honestly the bath room felt large and sufficient for a couple. Despite the occasional fly and bug (from the forest), the room is clean and comfy. I felt that the sheets smelt a little damp and did not had a good smell - but understably the resort is in a forest and it is humid. The aircon, while dated, was strong and worked wonderfully. For light sleepers, the room does not have soundproofing, which let's in plenty of the crickets (which is very very loud). Nevertheless, the resort provides buggy service to the lobby or the pools, which is prompt and quick. I took a quick dip in the pool and found it slightly dirty with 'things from the forest' and mosquitos around, but it's generally quite relaxing. Do take note that the pool has a depth of 1.5m at its deepest. Breakfast was sufficient and proper. Eggs, we're amazingly cooked and the scrambled eggs were - above our expectations. And the bacon, was served fresh and hot! Together with its warm and attentive service, the breakfast service is an awesome start to the day - just remember to put on mosquito repellent 😅 While there is ample parking, the road between the hotel and the main road is filled with potholes and sandy terrain, which may not be for everyone. The road also does not have lights, so it would be better to leave and return before sunset. Overall, Katiliya Mountain Resort is a great place to stay and one that I'll certainly visit again in the near future. One thing that stood out was the extent the staff goes to provide for your needs, including making you feel welcomed and ensure that your stay is comfortable.

It's really good to stay this hotel. I really really really love this place. The accommodation is clean and have facilities to supply my demand. the price is reasonable. I hope to visit this hotel again.

Hotel in the countryside with easy access and a large parking. Composite room in small independent apartments. Thai style with a beautiful swimming pool and a fine room available. The rooms are simple and well equipped. The hotel is warm and the hotel is very clean. The wooden litter is perfect and the rooms are comfortable. The price quality ratio is excellent. A breakfast is available from 7:00 and the service is right.

I've rented a 675 baths breakfast included for 2. Clean, comfortable and well-equipped room: fridge hot water air conditioning...decoration a little older. I spent the most amazing new year vacation in Chiang Rai. I stayed at Phufa Waree for 5 nights and got a well-deserved rest. The location of Phufa Waree is around 18 km. from Chiang Rai town. I know it's quite far but once you learn how to commute, it's really not a deal-breaker. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room is big (I got a one-bedroom suite), the bathroom is also huge. The only thing that I would complain about is the sofa in the living room. It's built-in and it's not really that comfortable. The accommodation comes with a buffet breakfast, serve from 6:30 to 10 am. They have a Thai-style buffet spread and they serve different dishes every day. Outside the hotel, there's a nice restaurant called Tid Dao Tid Din. The food is also good and inexpensive. Getting to town is a bit tricky, taxis and even Grab car is very expensive so try to hail a small green bus, which comes every 15 or 20 minutes. The fare is around 18 Baht and it will take you straight to Chiang Rai town (the bus station is near the Night Bazaar). All in all, I would say I had a great stay at Phufa Waree.

We stayed at the Siam Triangle Hotel as part of our organized birding tour in northern Thailand. The hotel sits right beside the road and has a very spacious lobby. Our room was a standard king with river view and small balcony. The air was so thick with smoke however it was impossible to be outside without a mask. The poor air quality exists all over northern Thailand not just Chiang Saen but be aware it's a real problem in the winter months (Dec-March). Our room was adequately sized with modern bathroom and comfortable bed. The buffet breakfast was very nice with made to order eggs and coffee specialty drinks - a huge upgrade from the powdered stuff we were usually served. It's a nice hotel, - just unfortunate we couldn't be outside to enjoy the view.

Good atmosphere next to the Mekong Breakfast is reasonable for the room price. But the fruit came to be served very slowly, asked the staff said that they had to wait for the fruit to be delivered from the city to eat Breakfast at 8.30 am, there is no restaurant closed 10.30 am, late exam staff, good service, other rounds. the room does not have slippers,the room only has shower cream,the room is new,clean,good

Quiet place - clean rooms and beds - kind personal - no breakfast nor lunch but you can eat near the resort. Good swimming pool but small if more people in it. There is a good cheap laundry and 7 Elleven also near resort.
