The lodging is a mix bag of business - retail shop and restaurant in front and lodging at the bottom. The staff here speaks no English whatsoever and we ended up using hands and gestures to communicate with one another. Suffice to say that the design is industrial style. The room is very echo-ey due to hard surfaces. The room has got a fantastic view to its surroundings and it's rather spectacular. There is strong WiFi signal in the room too. And now, let's get into the unexpected parts...right in the middle of the night, perhaps due to mating season between cats, many of them were purring at one another loudly for a very protracted period of time. In the end, the sound rattled up the whole ”neighbourhood” and other hotel guests were attempting to shush the cats away but to no avail. Then, closer to 4am, the cocks started to do their bit to wake up the neighbourhood and it was seriously disruptive to our sleep. In the countryside, the noise made by the cocks were seriously loud and nonstop. If you are willing to put up with all the commotion, Wang Put Tan might just be your stop. Once is enough for us.

Lovely place in the mountains. Our room had balcony and view of tea plantation, it was clean and comfortable with air-conditioning, didn't have small fridge in room. We ate at the restaurant and they have good choice of Thai meals. Good Wifi, staff polite and helpful

The hostel is said to be the earliest hostel in the area and has been in operation since 1970. I really want to hear their story. The hostel is right next to the market. You can have local breakfast in the morning. The environment of the hostel is very good and the cabins are cute. The garden has signs of careful care, and beautiful photos can be taken in every area; you can climb up the mountain in the morning to watch the beautiful sunrise; the people in the store are very amiable, they can actually speak Chinese, and will enthusiastically introduce nearby special places to visit. , and also provided travel routes and positioning on the wall at the front desk, which was so considerate. The room was neat and clean. Surprisingly, the room used purified mountain spring water in environmentally friendly glass bottles, and toothbrushes were provided. What was also subversive was that the hotel did not use electric hot water for bathing, but a central hot water supply. The boss is an old lady and she is very nice. There is a menu to choose from the day before breakfast. If possible, it is recommended to choose the second floor, because the second floor is a duplex with a spiral staircase leading to a small attic, which provides better privacy.

The location and service were great! The friendly owner spoke good English and helped us with ideas for a walk through the tea plantations. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent.
