It is a very cost-effective hotel. Because it is newly opened, the appearance and hotel rooms are very beautiful and modern. There is also a lot of working space in the lobby and there is a cafe next to it. Unfortunately, it does not provide staple food. Apart from the fact that it is far away from the center of Chiang Mai (if you rent a car/motorcycle, there is basically no problem, and it is also convenient for visiting suburban attractions), and there are not many restaurants with English menus nearby, everything else is very good!

Love this hotel, new, clean, medium sized hotel. 3 of us stayed in a good size double story room! It’s only 5-10 mins drive from the city and they offer a great spread for hotel breakfast & my favourite is the mini cafe which they open every morning, even if it’s just to serve 2-3 guests with latte or americano coffee options. Must say they really put heart into the work they do. Every single staff there works hand in hand to provide great service. Will be back!

All the things that wants to be explored are in reachable distance. This is excellent hotel that I’ve ever stayed, the hotel stuffs are weak in English though. They are very hospitable and showcasing as the land of smile. From the point of cleanliness, rooms are shiny and bright. The most awesome thing is pet friendly. So I am considering to stay again in this hotel.

Thank you check in staff for upgraded my room, a Birthday fruits dish and a complementary lunch voucher for 8 days stay, really feel pampered and warm welcome. This hotel has a nice garden with 2 small fountains on the small pound, and a swimming pool for relaxation. It is a place for attractive scene photography to post on social media. Room was always neat and clear, provided bottle drink every morning, thank you again the cleaning staff. Every morning wake up, I always look out the spectacular mountain scenery from room window, wow! i have paid a little token for 8 days buffet breakfast, little changes from routine menu while stay for 8 days, but I do enjoy eating in the peaceful ambience restaurant enjoy the beautiful garden and pool view. For short stay of 2 nights with paid breakfast, you might feel it good. Lastly, suggest install handrails on stairs for elderly and physical challenged tourists to assist them easier walking up taking lift at Tower rooms. Thank you again with much appreciate.

Proud Phu Fah was neat to stay at, but difficult for exploring Chiang Mai. We enjoyed feeling like we were staying in the jungle, and the room was clean and well-kept. There were three breakfast options, including one American breakfast, and the staff at the restaurant were especially pleasant. We were glad to have access to a pool, although it was a little chilly, even with pretty warm weather. In hindsight, we should have stayed closer to the city since we wanted to spend most of our time exploring Chiang Mai. There was a hotel driver available for an extra cost (1000 baht for a 1-way trip) who was very kind and flexible with our desires to go to the city. Once in the city, we had an easy time finding a Grab (like Uber) driver back to the hotel for a smaller cost. However, being about an hour away from the Old Town part of the city made for longer days. Overall, Proud Phu Fah would be a great place to stay if you are looking to hang out at the hotel most of the time! If you are wanting to explore Chiang Mai and go on excursions to an elephant sanctuary, the sticky waterfall, or Doi Inthanon, you're probably better off staying in the city instead!

Rooms are so ordinary and in good condition. Unfortunately, the shower is only separated by a corner and the bathroom is mostly wet when doing the shower. The hall is very modern, unfortunately everything is very bright. The situation is unfortunately not good if you are usually too far on the road. I had to take a taxi/tuktuk in two days for all routes because the route 1 is relatively long and 2 is not pleasant to go. There's a lot of things that you'd save with a more central hotel. We had read that the hotel should be in a culinary area, but we have not seen it and have thus spent time in other areas day and evening.

It was almost a perfect stay with Veranda, overall a very beautiful surroundings, good restaurant, excellent facilities/amenities, warm/courteous and friendly staff, however, with a few exceptions which makes it somehow a less-pleasant farewell. To check out I called the reception and the lady (can’t tell her name but she’s with dental braces) told me that I would need to wait 5 minutes for a electric cart to pick up my luggage (she didn’t even ask for my room number before hanging up), waiting in the scorching sun for almost 15 minutes and I had to call back again and was told there’s no arrangement for me and they will now send someone over to pick me up, it could be the case that the lady might was too busy to arrange pickup for me and hopefully that was not an intentional pick. However now comes the worse part, after checking out I thought it would be easy to call a grab as we have been calling grabs to the hotel multiple times from city to hotel without any problem, but it turns out that due to location of the hotel it’s very difficult to call a grab from hotel to city and normally it’s better to call a taxi instead, we had to turn to the hotel for help to book a taxi and was told it would be almost an hour before we can get a taxi…while I understand it might be rush hour of the day for E-hailing but as part of the hotel service mandates I guess checking out at 12.00 is quite a daily routine for the hotel and there should be sufficient experience to cope with the situation however all we could do was waiting there for a long time before another taxi dropped in and rode us to our next hotel in the city.

GGuest UserI have only been to Japan two times, both briefly, though that was enough for me to realize that I deeply respect and appreciate Japanese aesthetics and sensibilities. Although I plan to return to Japan, I visit Thailand much more often, another place I love. It was, therefore, a special treat to be able to stay at the serene Onsen @ Moncham, a Japanese-style hotel built in 2017 with hot springs in the Mae Rim district of Chiang Mai. Although less than an hour away from the delightful city of Chiang Mai, the Rose of the North, the grounds of the hotel, as well as the surrounding area of rolling verdant hills at 1200 meters where it is cooler, is absolutely gorgeous. It feels like another world. And what a wonderful world it is! I thoroughly enjoyed a complimentary, two-night stay in the Iris Grand Tatami Onsen Suite — rooms have a name as well as a number — which was like a fantasy come true. The well-designed room in this well-managed hotel is spacious and culturally immersive, while being modern and luxurious — with large-screen TV and Japanese toilet seat — and the bedding on the floor is so satisfying. This inviting suite has its own private onsen, which can look out on its own garden in front with a view of the hills beyond, if one opens the sliding doors, as I happily did. I could easily sense the care taken to provide a perfect balance of beauty, comfort, and privacy in this ryokan. Attended by 50 multi-tasking staff, each of the two dozen rooms and suites — some larger than where I live! — is unique and tastefully designed, stocked with various luxe amenities that I was happy to avail myself of, including the rice shower gel, various teas, yuzu soda, Asahi beer, and other special little niceties. I admit that I felt special, for example, wearing the yukata, a Japanese-style robe. Free wi-fi, parking, bottled water in beautiful Thai cloth sacks, and various toiletries are also conveniently included, which I appreciate. The staff is unfailingly attentive, helpful, and polite without being intrusive, providing a perfect blend of seamless service. When they noticed I was chilly in the dining room, they wrapped me in a soft blanket! The mineral water from the natural hot springs, emanating from over 100 meters below ground, is so relaxing and revitalizing. I'm confident it's good for the skin and muscles, but I know for sure that it's good for my spirit. The indoor onsen is sex-segregated without clothing, while the onsen in the garden is mixed-gender with swimsuits required. Both are wonderful. after the onsen in the misty mountain air a pair of black swans The Japanese garden is lovely and peaceful, the spa is delightful (there are various services one could choose from), and while the small gym appeared nice, I opted to avoid that particular arena, prioritizing other more peaceful pursuits, which is so easy to accomplish amidst this little patch of paradise with koi and duck ponds, walking bridges, rock gardens, and beautiful fl

GGuest UserI love Boutique hotels and have been to Chiang Mai before, so I was a tiny bit worried about staying outside the centre/town, but needn't have worried. This place is so beautiful and flawless my boutique hotel heart skipped a beat! Service is impeccable, spa amazing, food was soooo good and the room beautiful and comfortable. The hotel arranged for me a private driver to Chiang Rai as well as pottery class in Chiang mai and unique temple visits also in Chiang Mai. I loved their afternoon delights and I'm happy to report I still have them at home and smile when I see them. (I won't spoil the surprise.) Just go - you'll be happy here!

JJessie.lymingA place far far away from town and also Mon Jam. I was planning to stay 1 night in Mon Jam actually, however I didn’t noticed the homestay is another mountain from Mon Jam (called Pong Yaeng) which was Trip.com suggested to me when I search for hotels of Mon Jam. I booked it for family trip, we called the Grab to send us to there so that we can check in and drop the bags first. I must to say, the way to get to the homestay was quite thrilling cause the last section of the way were rugged mountain road, luckily the driver was expertly to send us there safely. After we settled down and want to go out to Mon Jam for sightseeing, there were no car to pick us up through Grab cause we were too far away from town. Although the host had help us to ask for the ride, there was no reply too. Even if yes, it cost around 400-500 THB which was very expensive tho. So we were stuck in the homestay to having the peace and silence. Luckily we can still order food from the host when we feeling hungry, having the meal with the mountain view and BBQ+hotpot for dinner were also some good experiences here. Actually the place was quite good and the host was very nice, I’m sure there would be a good place to stay if you are not concerned about the location and looking for some peaceful stay. But I would strongly recommend you to rent a car, motorbike or even a driver, just in case you want to go somewhere else for sightseeing. Or you can go to play or sightseeing before going to the homestay, it’s all up to you😉

GGuest UserThis is a great hotel if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle. The room combines modern and wooden structures, is spacious and well designed, and has a bathtub on the large terrace. All kinds of decorations in the room have a sense of design, such as waxed paper umbrellas and straw bags. The infinity pool and the mountaintop curtain are famous check-in points. Restaurant dinner tastes good too. The staff are very enthusiastic and patient. You can call the battery car to pick you up when you go in and out. The disadvantage is that in the mountains, there is no place to eat, drink and have fun nearby.

CCynthiaInteresting experience where we had dinner (bbq) and breakfast delivered to our room. View was great from the balcony. Room was clean. Only downside was there was no amenities surrounding after sunset. So make sure to have extra food for those who require supper. Also, be prepared to live with some insects or flies that flew in from the nature. We loved staring at the greenery and breathing in the natural fresh air, which we can’t get the experience in the city. A good getaway from the bustling city life. Highly recommend for those looking for such experience

GGuest UserThis was our third time at Mae Sa valley. It is such a special place. We travel extensively and I consider this to be one of the most beautiful spots in the world. It had not changed a bit in 5 years, maybe perhaps the gardens got more beautiful. The setting: The gardens here are looked after so well. There are several gardeners at work the whole time. The view is breath-taking and stunning with a fast flowing river at the bottom. The manageress, Ai, is very good at her job, speaks amazing English (which is not a given in Thailand) and is very intuitive. Last time we stayed in one of the cheaper rooms up the top which had the advantage of an amazing view over the whole valley. The rooms are a bit basic but you get what you pay for. We upgraded to what they call a suite this time and it was amazing. I cannot describe the attention to detail (murals on the walls, door handles in animal shapes etc.) I discovered something new every time I looked. Next time we will go for the suite suite! These rooms are closer to the river which is nice but the river is loud. It is quite well insulated in the bedroom so you don't hear it. The area: There is surprisingly a lot in the way of tourist attractions here (botanic gardens with canopy walks, insect farm, elephant farm) but not much in the way of restaurants. Bring snacks. Of course, this is not for everyone. If you are mobility impaired this will not work for you as too many steps. As you are in nature there are a lot of insects and it is humid and you get a damp smell from the river. Also, breakfast is very basic (but the view makes up for it!) All said, this place is special and has to be seen.
