Shizuoka Airport is five kilometers away because the flight cancels the temporary reservation. The medium room, said to be two people, is actually a single room, of course, the bed is 1.5 meters. It is a new and clean building in a hotel located in front of the station. The parking lot is on the back side beyond the track, so it is close by foot, but it takes about 10 minutes by car. If you go by car, it is recommended to stop in front of the hotel and then move to the parking lot after receiving the explanation. The room was small but new and clean, and the water pressure of the hot water was good. It seems to be a business hotel, so if you can choose, the room away from the elevator is recommended. If you stay in the front room, you can hear the voice guide at the arrival of the elevator. There was a public bus and it was good to put it in the foot. It was a little disappointing that I couldn't use it because I had a large powder room at present. There was a little trouble about the parking fee, but I was very polite in the exchange by the phone. The hotel that responds firmly at such a time can stay with peace of mind. I will do it here if I go nearby again.

The location is really good. And it's great to have your own private room at this price. The space in the room for suitcases is vague. All basic facilities are neatly equipped. The shower room was spacious and comfortable, and I used the washer and dryer well. Highly recommended :)

I didn't chose the hotel but I loved it. Location was great, very convenient for the station, room was fine, front desk staff were kind and thoughtful. Enjoyed a better than average breakfast, included in the room rate. The whole experience was much more ”boutique” than ”chain” hotel. But the real glory of the place is the privileged access to the former daimyo's garden next door. Each morning at breakfast, the waitstaff encouraged me to step outside into the garden. On the third morning, I finally did it. What a lovely place! Japanese aesthetics at their best. And I had it all to myself. Would have been worth staying here just for the garden, but like I said, the hotel was good, too.

Nice family hotel and centrally located opposite the train station with many restaurants choices. Checkin was a breeze and room was clean and spacious. Breakfast that came with the hotel stay was excellent with many choices and sufficient refills. Carpark was chargeable at 1200y per night at the next building and walking to carpark can be cumbersome for some during bad weather. Highly recommended place for those looking for accommodation in this part of the city or exploring the city.

Great hotel, stayed for the second time. Breakfast is delicious, there are many choices, basically all Japanese people stay, breakfast for partial meals. The room is clean, there are a lot of comic books on the first floor, and there are 8 kinds of pillows to choose from. I stayed at the Dormy Inn for 3 nights during the rugby World Cup. First let me state that there is very little to do in Kakegawa apart from visiting the castle, so if you are heading here as a tourist there are probably better places to stay. Back to the hotel ! I arrived a little early (around 12) and my room was not available , so I had to leave my bags in reception and wait until around 3pm to get my key. There was no issue with the language barrier. The hotel is not far from the station with a 10 minute walk along the main road getting you there. The room itself was average size for Japan, but the outlook from the window was pretty bleak onto a back alley. However, it was clean and comfortable there were no issues with the exception of the pillows which were rock hard. All amenities were available in the room although the sink being in the bedroom rather than the shower area was a little strange. The Wi-fi was perfect, but dont look for any English language station on the TV as there was none. In terms of restaurant, there is one for breakfast with a reasonable selection of both Western and Japanese food. I never saw it open during the day or evening. However, as a bonus it does open up around 9.30 in the evening with free ramen noodles for the hungry. Coffee is always available on demand in the foyer which is another good point. On top of the hotel is a typical Japanese thermal bath...great for the aches after a busy day ! All in all a good hotel for the price.....

Stayed in a Japanese style room with 2 people. Clean and clean, no problem at all, but the interior is not updated, and the early 90s? Old design as you can see. The sea bathing season will be the best right next to the sea. The meal was only breakfast, but it was a regular meal style because of corona. It was delicious. It is a resort hotel, but unfortunately, it was not like enjoying at the hotel because the leisure related facilities were not maintained (the tennis court was rough). The bath and indoor pool were good. I think it is convenient if it is a base for sightseeing. I was good to see it overall, so I would like to visit again.
