We were looking for a place with a family room in a riverside shophouse near the main tourist attractions, and booked this inn with a homey, retro a**osphere. We stayed there during the New Year holidays in January 2020. We stayed in a maisonette-style family room (Room 5) for the first few days. There was a king-size bed, bathroom, and living space on the lower floor, and two single beds on the upper floor. It was spacious enough for a family of five. There was a window facing the road, so it was bright. For the second few days, we stayed in a river view room with a balcony (Room 6) with a great view, and a nearby standard room (Room 7). These two rooms are at the very back when you enter from the front, so they have a sense of privacy and are perfect for families. Room 6 also had a jetted bath. Tea, coffee, snacks, etc. were prepared in the long shared space at the back of the first floor, and it was comfortable to take a break while looking out at the courtyard in an a**osphere that felt like a time slip. The old wooden floors seem to transmit sound easily from above, so we were asked to keep the noise to a minimum in the rooms. Everyone seemed to follow this rule, and we were able to relax in a quiet space, making for a great holiday.
