"The room was very clean and spacious, located right in the bustling city center. The bathroom and toilet were also spotless, and the balcony offered a beautiful view. The hotel overall was lovely, but the only drawback was the pillows. Why were they so thick? I brought it up with the front desk, and they were very helpful, giving us six more pillows. But each one was as thick and hard as three pillows at home, making it impossible to sleep comfortably. I ended up having to make a makeshift pillow out of two shirts, which left me with a stiff neck. It was quite a predicament!"

"WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. SHOULD BE - 1000 *S. NO FRONT SIGNAGE. NO INDICATION OF THE HOTEL BEING SWING AND PILLOWS @KLEBANG INSTEAD ALL THE SIGNS SHOW IT IS "MY HOME HOTEL" WHICH ACTUALLY HAVE VERY VERY BAD REVIEWS. NO WONDER THEY HAD TO CHANGE THE NAME. CHECKING IN WAS A NIGHTMARE. THERE WAS NOBODY AT THE CHECK IN DESK, AND WE HAD TO FIND THE NUMBER TO WHATSAPP CALL THEM. THEN THEY STILL DEMANDED RM6 FROM ME (ON TOP OF MY NIGHTLY ROOM PAID TO TRIP.COM) WASTED A LOT OF TIME CALLING THEM, HAVING TO SEND THE MONEY TO THEM THEN ONLY THEY SEND ME THE KEY LOCATION WHICH IS BEHIND THE HOTEL. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, THE WATER WAS SHUT OFF... IN THE MORNING I COULDN'T TAKE MY SHOWER OR EVEN FLUSH THE TOILET. CALLING THEM GOT NO RESULTS, THE LADY ON THE WHATSAPP ASKING ME TO WAIT... TILL AFTER 10AM... FOR THEIR MAINTENANCE TO COME... JUST LEFT. DIDN'T KNOW WHERE TO PUT THE KEYS SO I JUST LEFT IT AT THE EMPTY CHECK IN DESK. NONSENSE HOTEL. AVOID AT ALL COSTS."

"This hotel definitely has a lot of character. Let's start with the positives: the lobby is absolutely stunning, steeped in history, and truly a sight to behold. The breakfast was also a highlight, offering a great selection of unique fruits and dishes. The dining area itself was comfortable, cozy, and elegant, making you feel like you're dining in a historical masterpiece. Now for the downsides: the hotel is quite old, and the facilities and equipment are showing their age. The bedding was also not up to par; the duvet in our room was stained with what looked like blood, and we had to call someone to replace it. The soundproofing in the rooms is poor. While being on Jonker Street is convenient for exploring, it also means traffic jams every time a vehicle tries to enter, making getting in and out a bit of a hassle. If you prioritize unique character and historical charm, this hotel might be for you. However, if quality and attention to detail are your main concerns, I'd suggest looking elsewhere."

"we booked and paid for our room in advance through trip.com however during the check in. we were told the hotel room were fully occupied, the boss relocated us to another property he owns. when we opened the door, there’s a sting and foul smell hit us, the staff told us to turn on the AC for 15 mins to get rid of it. worst of all, AC control panel temperature can’t been seen and zero basic amenities, no shampoo, no toiletries provided so we had to buy our own and extremely disappointing experience. highly not recommended"
