"Had a nice stay at Hatten Hotel overall. The room was comfortable and the breakfast had quite a good selection, so there were plenty of choices. When I first arrived, the TV remote wasn’t working, but I called the staff and they came over to fix it quite quickly, so that was appreciated. The only downside was the check-in process. It was really slow and I had to wait for more than 30 minutes before getting my room. Other than that, everything was good and I enjoyed my stay."

"This hotel exceeded my expectations in the best way possible! Being right on the Malacca River, Malacca quickly became my favorite stop on this Malaysia-Singapore trip, and my stay at The Majestic Malacca definitely played a huge part in that. You can see the hotel's facilities in the pictures, so I'll focus on the experience. As soon as we entered, a staff member took our luggage. While waiting for our room key, we were offered tea and adorable little cookies. The front desk staff even escorted us to the elevator, and our luggage was delivered directly to our room. The hotel breakfast is à la carte, freshly prepared, not a buffet, which made it feel like a five-star dining experience. The service was incredibly attentive; they always thoughtfully asked if we needed anything else and offered suggestions. One young man, in particular, was very sharp; he suggested I try mixing orange juice and guava juice half and half, and it was a truly unique and delicious flavor! It's a shame we didn't bring our phones to breakfast, so we couldn't take any pictures. Next time, I definitely want to try the hotel's dinner; I heard the chef is quite renowned. All in all, I absolutely loved Malacca, and I'll be staying at The Majestic again next time."

"Overall, I'd give it a 4-star rating. The hotel environment is relatively quiet, and it's quite convenient for dining and shopping nearby, making for a pleasant regular stay. However, some of the surrounding streets seem a bit deserted, with many shops closed even during peak hours, which makes for a less than ideal walking experience. Personally, if your main purpose is sightseeing, I think staying in the southern part of Malacca, closer to the beach and main attractions, would be more convenient."

"Had a short 1 night stay, last min booking. Main reason I choose to stay here is due to availability of parking. TV is a Google TV that can play any media via USB, if you have one. WiFi in the room is complimentary for guests, but speed wise is not the best, I ended up using my mobile data for better experience. Hot water is consistent and pressure is good, however the room I stayed in had an issue with the drainage which makes you stand in a puddle of water while showering. They provide toothbrush and shaver, which is good. However, if you need to use their iron, they only provide the basic iron without steam function. Not ideal for business travelers, lucky for me my shirt already ironed from home. What I don’t like about the room is they don’t have master switches on the bedside for you to switch of the lights. The master switches is located at the wall near the keycard insert. Breakfast starts at 7am the earliest, and the choices are okay. Their teh tarik is good though. But their room rate is really competitive, so can’t complain much for the price paid."

"My stay at The Pines Melaka was absolutely perfect! The location is excellent, making it super easy to get to Jonker Street by taxi. Plus, there's a convenience store right downstairs, which is great for grabbing food or anything else you need. The room was spacious and clean, the bedding was comfortable, and it had all the amenities, with a pretty nice view too. The front desk staff were warm and efficient, making check-in and check-out quick and seamless. The hotel also has a pool, a quiet atmosphere, and a wide variety of breakfast options. Overall, it offers great value for money, perfect for both family trips and independent travelers. I'd definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Melaka. Highly recommended!"

"Right by the Malacca River, definitely in the center of the scenic area, an old house, recommended by Owl, suitable for checking in, old objects, old furniture, but not amazing, just piled up. But it is not suitable for tourism and living. You have to wear slippers when going upstairs. It is uncomfortable to walk. It is extremely inconvenient and completely uncomfortable. There are no windows. It faces the street and is very noisy. You can't fall asleep before 11:30. The wooden floor has no sound insulation at all. When you walk, the floor makes a bang. The furniture in the room is basically unusable. They are all decorations. There is also a risk of bumping and shaking... The stairs are very narrow and steep, which is quite dangerous. There are three people in my family. The century-old bed is crooked... It is very uncomfortable to sleep on it, and the air conditioner can't blow in. It's hot. When people leave, the air conditioner is turned off. There are no windows (actually there are, but they are locked and can't be opened facing the street). The air is not good. The quality of the bedding is that of a small hotel. All the switches and electrical appliances are old switches, which are difficult to use. There are only two power supply locations, and they are all in inconvenient locations... In short, it is a very impractical room, suitable for **, not suitable for human habitation. It is a failed experience and seriously unworthy of the price. It is recommended to find a modern and comfortable hotel for Malacca tourism, because the city is very small and there is no problem of inconvenient transportation. For later reference, learn from my lessons, especially not suitable for families with children! Remember!"

"This was my first time staying at Babahouse, and I really loved the concept and traditional style of the hotel. From the moment we arrived at the lobby, we were warmly greeted and welcomed with a complimentary drink coin for the entire stay — 1 coin per person, per room. Since we had 2 rooms for 2 days, we received 4 coins in total. A nice little touch that made us feel welcomed. When we entered our rooms, they were generally clean, tidy and comfortable. However, in one of the rooms, we noticed some mould on the towel and also on the bed. We understand that this can happen if a room has been unoccupied for some time, especially with the humid weather. We also noticed that only some of the room windows have coverings, which may contribute to the room condition. Hopefully, the management can pay extra attention to this. The weather outside was extremely hot, with no rain for the whole week, so the first thing we did was turn the air-conditioning on full blast! We also tried the gym and really enjoyed it. Although the gym is small, the space is sufficient for a simple workout. They also provide towels and drinking water, which is very convenient. Around the hotel, there is Rumah Kechik Café and also a hidden bar on the side, which adds to the overall charm and experience. During our stay, we didn't drive around much. We mainly went out to Jonker Street and simply walked from the hotel. It was easy and convenient, and it also saved us time from dealing with traffic and finding parking. Overall, I really enjoyed my first stay at Babahouse. I love the traditional concept, atmosphere and location. With a little more attention to room maintenance and cleanliness, I believe the experience could be even better. Definitely a place I would consider staying again when visiting Melaka."

"I booked a 1-night stay in their Lux King Ocean Room at The Lisbon Melaka as I read that it’s a new international hotel that opened a year ago. The room feels very cozy when I entered. The fixtures were still new and the beds were comfortable. It’s come with a smart TV which is a plus point in this day and age. Though it will be better if the TV is slightly bigger as it’s only 32”. The balcony was dismal and the ocean wasn’t that therapeutic and was partially blocked. The breakfast buffet was a letdown as well. There wasn’t much options for selections though the hotel was proclaimed as a 5 star luxury hotel. For the room rate at about RM$337 on a weekday, it’s definitely on a higher side. I think likely also due to low occupancy. Throughout my stay, the hotel was fairly empty and not many rooms were occupied. The courtyard area was really nice, which elevates the resort feel. The pool and gym nearby was really small. So I did not use the facilities. The spa room wasn’t tenanted out too. There was no lift as well, definitely not user friendly for the elderly. Staff Shamirul and other guest relations personnel were polite too. Same applies to the security which offers good service. Will I return, it’s very unlikely."
