Would like to compliment front desk staff named Leong who is friendly and helpful, the eating places recommended by him did not disappoint, turns out to be the best meals in the trip!

GGuest UserWe really enjoyed our stay at Sterling Hotel. The best part is definitely the location — it’s just a short walk to the Red House and Jonker Street. This saved us so much time since we didn’t have to worry about finding parking around Jonker, which can be a real headache. AAriff SamaniI had a pleasant stay here with my family. Our room had a view facing the main road, and although there was no bathtub, only a shower but the kids still enjoyed the space. The area came alive at night with a bustling bundle fair just outside, adding to the lively atmosphere. The building has a charming colonial-style architecture, which adds to its unique character. The hotel seemed to be popular among local Malay guests, giving it a warm and familiar vibe. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the food was quite satisfying. It would be even better if the hotel had facilities like a gym and spa, which I personally prefer. Overall, it was a great staycation for the whole family.

AAi Er TeaLocation : good, is exactly inside the Pines Hotel. Opposite got G29 mini Mart operate till 12.00 midnight. Walking distance got restaurant and food court. Night time can walk to river side from hotel, very strong wind and cooling, nice to have walk there.
Parking: no good. Can't park in the hotel as it will cost you very high. Park under AIA Prudential building opposite which cost you around RM 10-12.50 next day morning.
Checked in : self-check in . booking under Amanjiwa 99R, checked in info such as unit and mailbox details only provide 10min before arrival. That is late. Access cards 2pcs are provided. Mailbox is just beside the hotel. Clear instructions to get the cards. Checked out same methods. No issues.
Room: room is spacious and good. Beds and sofa are OK.
Refrigerator is not cold. Air conditioning and water pressure are good.
Amenities: normal and simple.
Facilities: swimming pool and play ground on 8th floor.
Cost : lower cost if compare to room booking under the pines hotel.

I enjoyed the showervery much and had a good bath.
But..
The toilet bad odour (especially from toilet bowl) is true as per reviews posted by many customers. I hope hotel can do something to get rid of the bad odour from the sewage.
The air-conditioning sound is very loud is true as per reviews by many customers. Light sleepers may be affected.

HH4ik4lI had a wonderful stay at ibis Melaka! The hotel is clean, modern, and very well-maintained. The location is excellent — just a short walk to Jonker Street and other main attractions, yet quiet enough for a relaxing night’s rest.

AAnonymous UserI was attending my uni friends wedding at Melaka. Together with me was my boyfriend and one of our friend. We booked deluxe two bedroom suite.
If there is any signage outside will be better for us to confirm the location, we were checked with the security guard to ensure the hotel location. It was beside the Countyard.
The living room was surprisingly large. It also included a microwave for some food heat up. And the nearby convenience store 7-11 was within 6 mins (walking distance) from the hotel.
Thinking that by providing a disposable slippers would have been helpful, as the floor felt cold with the air conditioning on.

Soap is somehow 3-in-1…
Wifi was good when I checked in, but got pretty bad when i returned from dinner… not sure what happened… lazy to go down to the reception so just slept early
Overall, it was alright. Location was amazing tho, 10 mins to the nearest mall, heng chicken rice balls across the street :)
