Premier Inn Manchester City (Portland St)

The room was clean but the only complaint was the window was locked and we couldn’t open it ourselves when we wanted you had to go down to reception and get them to come and open it with their key for the window

Good location, clean room, good customer service would stay again

You know what to expect with a Premier Inn and this one was no exception. Good sized room, comfortable bed. For being so close to the city centre it was also surprisingly quiet (at least my room). Affordable for work travel, I’d recommend.

All the staff at this branch of Premier Inn are absolutely outstanding - they are warm, friendly, exceptionally hard working and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything is running smoothly. A big shout out to Bianca, Paulo, Chef Derzy and all the other staff whose names we don't know and who made our stay so welcoming and enjoyable. We ate breakfast and supper at the hotel and both meals were fresh and delicious. If there's one thing we'd query, it's that the promised 'fresh, fluffy pillows' were no longer fresh and fluffy! They were clean, sure, but felt as though they'd been washed a lot! We all had an idea about this - would it be worth offering a supplementary payment to those who want a 'fresh fluffy pillow'? We all agreed that we'd be happy to pay that supplement every time!

Stay was very nice. My fiancée had laser eye surgery and we had to stay an extra two nights due to some discomfort. The restaurant team Jerry / Bianca and Paulo all looked after us after and the reception team were most helpful. A good full breakfast can always cheer up up with a few tubs of Nutella
