"I'm puzzled by the low ratings for this hotel. After a two-night stay, I found it to be an excellent hotel, offering great value. Both the exterior and interior boast a strong, classic British retro vibe. If an influencer were to pick it up, it would easily become a viral sensation. I had booked a twin room but was upgraded for free to a duplex room on the 5th floor, which featured a large, round window, reminiscent of Doctor Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum. The location is also incredibly convenient. It's just a 5-10 minute walk from Deansgate Station, and most of Manchester's main attractions are within walking distance. The surrounding area has everything you could need, including various tram stops, supermarkets, and restaurants, not to mention popular spots like HeyTea and Pop Mart."

"The noise was unbearable. There's a bar directly across the street that was still blasting DJ music past 11 PM. I went to the front desk to request a room change. The staff insisted on coming to the room to verify the noise. After they heard it, they acknowledged it was the bar across the street and assured me it would quiet down in another 10-20 minutes. However, they didn't move us to a different room. I tried to get to sleep around 10 PM but couldn't fall asleep until well after midnight, which completely ruined my sleep and mood."

"I had an overall pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is excellent — right in the heart of the city with great access to public transport, making it very convenient to get around. The check-in and check-out process was fast and efficient, which I really appreciated.The room was comfortable and well-maintained, ideal for a short visit. However, there was no room service available during my stay, so I wouldn’t recommend it for longer stays. For a quick city trip, though, it’s a great choice."

"The hotel location is very convenience to travellers and just a few minues walk from Manchester Piccadilly station. From hotel, you can go to Manchester City Art Gallery, China Town, Cathedral and many other scenics spots within 30 minutes walking distance. And via St. Peter Square / Market Square, you can get on different Metro Link train to Manchester United Stadium/ Mega store or Manchester City Stadium.  For the morning buffet breaksfast, the food variety and quality are just an average standard but the staff are attentive and professional and should give them a thumb up."

"When confirming the order, there was only “payment made in the hotel” The charge when doing check in was higher than the amount shown in the app. It took time to do check in and feeling was not very good. Buffet Breakfast was good. You can order some choices when it was not available in the hot plates. Yummy👍"

"Decent location, however parking can be an issue depending when traveling, we were fortunate to get a space as close as possible as there is no access for vehicles to go directly outside the hotel and it has no parking facility. The attraction was the design of the building but seems it's a little dated and needs freshening up as some parts look outdated. Breakfast was very below par, probably wouldn't't book again and look for an alternative"

"I really enjoyed my stay at the Ibis budget, Pollard Street. Right from checking in, the staff were very polite, helpful and warm. The ladies at the desk were very welcoming. The room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was top notch. It was easy to get into the city as the bus stop is just a de seconds from the hotel. The metro link stop is only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel, Thank you, I will definitely recommend to others and I will visit again."

"Good Hotel for the value. I was satisfied with the comfort of the bed and the room in general. The shower was also nice and new. The room didn’t have tea/coffee but they were available at the floor just by the elevator. The only problem for me was the cleanliness. The room wasn’t super clean. As shown in the photos there were dust piled in the corners and crevices but not in the degree that would make you uncomfortable. A nice stay overall."

"I stayed the day before and booked an extra night but had to move room which was very smooth move. Firstly the was a poo stain on the toilet lid when I checked in and then later when I took a bath it was that hot that I burnt the bottom layer of my foot from the water. There is no way it should be running that hot. Then once I managed to cool my foot down and the bath. I burnt 2 of my toes just from touch the side of the taps. A very different experience from my first night stay and you can see from my review"

"Great location in the centre. The room was clean and comfortable. The lift was annoying as you need to use your key card to press the button and other guests wouldn't realise so you're going up and down or not moving for ages. The breakfast was a nice bonus but there wasn't enough staff to clean tables and replenish empty food. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Good budget hotel!"
