"Great stay at Holiday Inn Manchester! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was good too. As it was my first time visiting the UK, I didn’t realize that check-out time was 11:00 am. The staff kindly called to remind me, and even allowed me to check out at 12:00 pm without any issues. I really appreciated their understanding and excellent hospitality. Thank you!"

DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Piccadilly

DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Piccadilly

📍 One Piccadilly Place, 1 Auburn Street, Manchester
★★★★ 9.2 (498 reviews)

"Right opposite the train station, the location is absolutely fantastic! 👍 As expected from a Hilton-branded hotel, the service and facilities are top-notch, guaranteeing quality. 👍 The room was a good size, and both the bathroom and TV were great – we even watched the World Cup matches! On the day we left, it was 34 degrees Celsius in Manchester, so we packed up and then just chilled in the bar with the AC on – it was brilliant! 😊 The hotel is perfectly located for exploring Manchester's main shopping street, and it's just a two-stop ride to the area around the National Football Museum. On the way, we even spotted a statue of James Watt, one of the forefathers of mechanical engineering. We also passed Piccadilly Gardens, which has a statue of Queen Victoria, and I believe there's a Duke of Wellington statue nearby too. It's super convenient for dining, drinking, and shopping! 😄"

"I was very satisfied with my stay, as it was close to the city center, included breakfast, and was very affordable. My flight was cancelled, so I had to book last minute, but the hotel was incredibly helpful. They let me store my luggage before check-in, I ordered room service for dinner, and they even accommodated my request to extend my stay."

"The hygiene and service were decent. The location is pretty good, right next to a parking garage, though you have to pay for parking."

Castlefield Hotel Hotels in Manchester

Castlefield Hotel

"Great location for both city and Old Trafford, near tram. Fairly priced. Has a gym but it's open to the public, and busy, so not your typical hotel gym. General feeling is that the cleaners must've been on strike during my stay. Guy on the desk could do with some customer service training too. Asked if I could leave in a couple of bags prior to check-in, which he obliged. Handed him my backpack, then doubled back and asked if I could quickly grab a pair of sunglasses from them. He stood still while I took the glasses from a case on the shoulder strap. No rummaging, no unzipping the bag, just a split second thing. To say this chap let out a loud, over the top sigh is an understatement. I just looked at him in surprise. We all have bad days, but that was a bit dramatic to say the least. Apart from that, the price reflects the hotel. Breakfast was ok, decent enough to send you on your way. I would stay here again because of the location, if I do, hopefully they'll have upped their game in terms of cleanliness, but I'll be sure to steer clear of precious."

"Lovely clean rooms. My little boy loved the window with the view and spending time in the swimming pool. It was great that the swimming pool had children’s sessions so we could enjoy as a family. Location was also great with just a short walk into the city centre. Will definitely be staying here again 😀"
