Anonymous UserThe room was spacious with a huge king-size bed. We had complimentary soft drinks in the mini bar which was a nice touch. Breakfast was nice, there were hot and continental options from a buffet. I used the sauna and gym during our stay around 8a.m, I was the only person in there so very pleasant. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

PcomI had a very satisfying stay! I was in Manchester for an international academic conference. The conference organizers arranged a Leonardo Hotel, and the price was similar to the Wilde Aparthotels I booked myself, but I think Wilde definitely wins out. I booked a suite, which is quite large by UK standards. It was on the 20th floor, the highest in the hotel, with excellent views of Manchester's CBD buildings – really nice! It rained all week, so I mostly stayed nearby, but the hotel's location is super convenient, with many restaurants downstairs like Pret a Manger and a good Korean restaurant. It's also very close to the University of Manchester, where I tried the famous British fish and chips. This experience was so good that I even chose the Wilde Aparthotels brand for my trip to Cambridge next week.

The hotel is 500 meters from T3, but it's a bit of a walk with luggage, so I recommend grabbing a trolley. However, it's over a kilometer from T2, so we had to take the shuttle the next day. We waited about ten minutes, and you pay the driver directly – it was £3.95 per person and took five minutes. The hotel's cleanliness was excellent, and the service was great. It was one of the few hotels on this trip that could give us adjoining rooms (without a special request, just two rooms on one booking). We arrived so late that night and were so disoriented, I completely forgot to take photos of the room... so I'll just use a picture of Manchester Airport instead.

HanxiaomeiWe booked this hotel because we had an early flight from Manchester, and it was such a pleasant surprise! We arrived during a heatwave in the UK, stepping out of a stuffy, non-air-conditioned car feeling like we'd been in a sauna, into a wonderfully cool and air-conditioned hotel room. It was incredibly comfortable!

Guest UserThe location of this property is excellent and was easily the highlight of our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed assistance, and the bathrooms were clean and well maintained.
Unfortunately, there were a number of issues that affected our overall experience. The blackout blinds do not fully cover the windows, allowing daylight through the sides from very early in the morning, which made it difficult to sleep. We initially had to change rooms due to cleanliness concerns. In the first apartment, we found some soiled items in the bathroom bin and a heavily rusted tin opener. In the second apartment, there were unpleasant smells coming from the fridge and the cupboard under the sink, and while the tin opener was in better condition than the first, it also showed signs of rust. Some areas also appeared to have been missed during cleaning, including around the fridge hinge.
The biggest disappointment was the comfort. The sofa beds were uncomfortable to sit on, with the cushions constantly sliding forward. The main bed was even more disappointing. It appeared to be two beds pushed together, was noisy whenever you moved, and provided one of the poorest nights’ sleep I’ve had in accommodation. By the end of our stay I was waking up with a sore, stiff back, which was particularly frustrating as this trip was supposed to be a break after several weeks of physically demanding decorating work at home. For a bed advertised as a large double, it also felt surprisingly short.
We also experienced an issue with our room key after arranging a late checkout, which meant an unnecessary trip back to reception to have it reprogrammed. Noise from furniture being dragged around in the apartment above was noticeable during our stay as well.
Overall, the apartment had the facilities we needed and the location is hard to fault, but the comfort, maintenance and attention to detail fell below expectations. While I appreciate the friendliness of the staff, I would think carefully before choosing to stay here again.

Guest UserWe came here to stay the night after a concert and our stay was perfect. Check in was easy as the staff are so friendly. The place itself is really nice as they have a restaurant, cafe and a bar that opens until 1am. It accessible to students to study in or people who generally just need a place to sit, as long as they buy something, which I personally really liked. We had the one bedroom suite room and it was so spacious. It includes a fridge, microwave, kettle, hair dryer and iron with an ironing board. The tv includes chrome cast so we could watch a Dance competition from YouTube on it. It also has a bathtub and I love having baths. The location is great as there it a Tesco just across it and it isn’t far from St Peter’s square so trams are just close by. Outside is the *** bar so it was actually quite noisy outside so beware on the weekend as people will be out and about until 5am. The only downside about the room that it was quite dusty on the floor but that’s the only problem.

Guest UserExcellent experience staying here, lovely room, very modern and clean. It had a small kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, hob, kettle and toaster. We didn’t need this but was handy to have the fridge for bringing some cold drinks. Clean and helpful staff. Didn’t make breakfast although was included. Short walk from train station so quite central.

TheVoyagerThe room was clean and cosy and front-desk was friendly and responsive. We booked mainly to check out the pool, spa and gym as advertised by the hotel. So it was really disappointing when we found out that these facilities were closed on Xmas day and on other days operated at limited hours when we were there. The pool, sauna, steam room and gym are operated by a separate company from the hotel. That meant operating hours of those facilities are not catered for hotel guests at all. And it also meant sharing the facilities with members of the gym. So if you’re thinking of staying here and using the gym or pool, just bear those things in mind. Breakfast selection was quite limited. Very bare selection of any salads or greens. Quite embarrassing as well to see that clean plates were not available several times when there were less than 20 covers at breakfast. I understand it was the holiday season and the hotel is understaffed. But I’m sure this is not the first Christmas or NYE the hotel has encountered.

Excellent service by Jean. She helped with our check in when there was an issue with finding the booking. The beds were comfortable but the floors were slightly dirty with food and breadcrumbs on the floor. The men’s lobby toilets was shocking and could definitely be cleaner.
Walking distance to many food places, grocer and public transport. The hotel entrance unfortunately faces the back lane so you will walk pass quite a few rubbish bins and have to deal with the smells.
