After a slight hiccup of not being able to get in.... (We had no code for the front door, or any communication there would be a code for the front door)...After calling the support number a few times finally got through and was given the entry code. Then we needed to guess what room we were staying in and the code for that door. Other people would have lost it by then but I rang back and was helped again. The room itself was just as described. Nice touch with the food left by the kettle. Shower was delightful. 10am check out was a bit early... Bit we were leaving before 10 so it didn't matter to us. But might to others. If your booking here. Make sure you have both codes before you arrive and everything will be fine.

Where do I start? For starters there is no one ever present at the reception, so any help needed you can forget it. The room isn’t as nice as the photos. Not 1 lamp worked in the room, we were given tea and coffee but no milk so what’s the point as you can’t get any from reception cause no one is there. Furniture falling to pieces and 1 tea spoon no forks or anything. Would not recommend, definitely stay away. If this is the only place available you should still stay clear, £100 absolutely wasted.

We paid £100 for a deluxe room arrived early as we were going to Indian Consulate needed the loo so was charged an extra £20! Got back and the room had mold on ceiling and a broken toilet lid. We paid £120 for a pee even the toilet paper was like rice paper. We just left and drove back home to Liverpool. The bins outside were overflowing it's all fir coat and no knickers. We would never recommend this place to anyone!

We had a few issues with the booking when we were asked to bank transfer. But after speaking to the manager he let us pay cash on the day. The room was bigger than expected, had two rooms with a tv, very large bathroom with bath and a kettle. Was clean and the manager was easy to keep in touch with via text. Nice stay and close to amenities

We came to the Milverton for a concert at Manchester Academy and it ticked all the boxes! The beds were warm and comfortable, windows were nice and big, and the heating was at a comfortable temperature. The room was plenty big enough for the three of us, with plenty of plugs and extension cords available. There wasn’t anyone manning the desk (we were given codes to access the property and the room), but communication via email was quick and easy. Would recommend for couples and small groups for a night or few in Manchester!

Arrived at 3pm for a concert nearby. No staff, its a self check in. Codes arrived ok. There was no water in our room. Only found out when we flushed toilet the first time. Luckily I had bottle water to make tea. Sent email complaining no reply ir help. Next morning the water was now a trickle. But toilet could be flushed. We couldn't have a shower. Had to go to friends hotel to use their shower. Another email sent. Again no reply. Room wasn't very clean either. Mold in shower. Sugar bowl had old crust sugar in it with sugar sachet thrown in. Fabulous stay once again. The girls always make you feel so welcome. Nothing is too much trouble for ***nor and Linda. The newly decorated breakfast lounge looks AMAZING. The breakfast is just AMAZING. This hotel is a must stay at!!! Will see you later in the year again, ladies, we can't wait.

We were in room 7 and this has got to be one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever been. It was self check in which was initially fine but meant there was nobody to complain to. Firstly, the window had been left open when there’s an obvious wasp nest right beside the window with hundreds of wasps flying in and out holes right outside the window, so we had to close the window so no wasps would come in so the room was absolutely roasting. Secondly, the shower was mouldy, had long dark hairs stuck to the walls and the shower itself was so temperamental as it kept turning off after every few minutes and you had to stand and wait for it to eventually come back on again with hair full of shampoo. There was a TV in the room but there was no channels or signal so didn’t work. The roof was sloped so had to watch your head if you were on the left side of the bed. There was no lamps in the room just the main light, so if you woke up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet you couldn’t see where to go until you got to the other side of the room for the big light switch, banging your head on the sloped roof on your way. Wifi was terrible and did not work. No mirrors in bedroom to get ready, there was one in bathroom. The carpet was old and stained. Lastly, the tea coffee sugar table was absolutely disgusting. Tea and coffee had been decanted into glass jars which were so dirty and in need of a thorough clean. There was what I think some sort of powdered milk in one of the jars? No real milk or UHT portions. There was only brown sugar sachets available which was placed inside a previously used white sugar jar which had crusted round the bottom as per previous guest photos. But no white sugar sachets. We stayed here as it was close to the hospital St Mary’s where we had an appoin**ent the next day and we don’t live nearby. I get the price for this room isn’t expensive however you do expect certain levels of cleanliness and basic facilities like running water.

Absolutely furious, arrived at the hotel to check in after having booked paid and confirmed via airBnB a week earlier and driving 3 hours to attend a wedding only to find out the hotel is actually closed for renovations!!!!! This left me totally stranded with nowhere to get changed before the wedding and I nearly missed it! The builders onsite who where doing the renovations were the ones who advised me the hotel was actually closed and how people had been turning up all week like me, thinking they had a booking!! I have not been able to get a response from them since this and AirBnB are saying thet can't get hold of them either. AVOID!
