It was the best hotel I stayed at in Myanmar. The hotel lobby, rooms, and dining room are all very neat and clean. There are staff at the front desk who can speak a little Japanese and some who can speak Chinese. Customer service is also polite. You can't go up the elevator without your room key, so you don't have to worry about security. In the evening, you can have dinner at the bar on the 11th floor while watching the night view of Mandalay. Food and drink prices are also not expensive. Breakfast is also delicious and if you order, they will make a delicious omelet for you. Coffee is very fragrant and delicious I would definitely recommend this hotel if my friends come to Mandalay.

The hotel staff are very friendly and always ready to help, especially manager Sarah who speaks perfect English, which is not often in Myanmar, she did help us a lot during our stay. Rooms are clean, beds and pillows are comfortable. The problems were quickly eliminated: our room faced the swimming pool where people were smoking and the smoke went to the room. Next morning we moved to another room. I did not see any insects in the hotel. The only inconvenience is the cards - they have to be used in the elevator, so if you left without the card - you'll have to wait for someone to help you.

Specious room (Room#604)with double bed. Loads of power points(qty:8) for ur electronic gear. Electric kettle, with 2 packs of expressos and no tea packs given. Staff at Reception is extremely helpful and always ask guest needing any help. House keeping staff is very young , active and helpful always.. They replace bath towels and others every day. TV only has 2 channels working. No english news available on TV. No local news papers available at Reception or in Rooms. I found Burmese people generally very helpful , smiley and welcoming most of the time. A la Carte dinner is very reasonably priced. Breaky included in the room . Lockerprice.Everyday the breaky menu is different and so delicious. Lots of variety. Very clean n hygenically organised dining area. Roof top bar is excellent but needed mosquito repellant .Nice view. Very quick response when ask things over phone to Reception.Room prices are very reasonable. Only shortcomings are No English news channel on TV and No Local english News papers available in the Lobby, Dining area or Rooms. Aircon is good..This site has a stand-by generator. Locker available. Staff speak limited english. Staff needs basic english skills. Bit of noisy aircon butu will used to it if u stay more than 2 days.I am intend to stay 16nights. I am so happy. Excellent service when ask for.

The rooms are simple but adequate. However, we feel that the hotel has suffered from the very sharp drop in tourism over the last 3 years. The hotel is aging and appears poorly maintained. On the other hand, we were extremely disappointed with the hotel restaurant. Tired after a long day of sightseeing in Mandalay, we chose to have dinner at the hotel. The meal was okay, nothing more. When it was time to add it, we had the very unpleasant surprise to find that the bill was double the price compared to the rates indicated on the card. When we asked for an explanation, the staff painfully explained to us in very bad English that this was the price for tourists. Note that the Burmese who was with us also paid this famous "tourist price"! We found this practice outrageous!! We therefore do not recommend the hotel restaurant at all.
