"I have recently checked out from room 1002. Excellent service of all Hotels Staff Reception, Bell boys, housekeeping, F&B team. Breakfast time is the most enjoyable moment for me. The FOODs were very delicious and many choices for locals and foreigners. Special appreciation for Chef and his kitchen team for making this excellent food at morning , start the day. Highly appreciated the excellent service of Restaurant Manager Ko Myint and his team. I haven’t seen the other staffs on my this return trip. But I was still find for getting the welcoming and hospitality service of Ko Myint/ Restaurant Manager. I will definitely return back soon."

"The hotel has already a lot of excellent reviews but since I just got back from Mandalay I would like to write a more recent update. As Myanmar suffers currently from in my view pointless sanctions and travel warnings, a lot of hotels struggle to get by with just local travels. Therefore, it is even more impressive how much effort the staff puts into maintaining the property and its service level. The rooms are very comfortable - I admired the artwork and the craftsmanship. The bathrooms are very modern and offer a certain wellness feeling – with rose leaves filled bathtubs. Amazing. For breakfast I got Shan-Noodles as an extra treat from the management. I had just casually asked if they are available and found them the next morning – even more impressive. Very convenient also is the beer-garden-like open air restaurant right next to the hotel with an separate entry from the property. Myanmar at its best. I regret that I could not stay longer, and I will definitely be back there."

"Stayed at the hotel several times during the trip. The impressions are very unpleasant. We arrived very late on the first day due to flight delays and did not notice that we were put in a room much worse than we had booked. Turns out they have "different rooms" under the same name. You can see the quality of the issued room on the photo. The hotel's diligence to charge 20% on top of any "helping" service is also hilarious. I would not recommend this hotel, and I will certainly not go there again. PS the only plus was the chef who cooks wonderful Chinese dishes (actually only they are on the menu)."

"Very disappointing after the photos on trip - I should have read the reviews. The Reception area is very poor - after 6pm the staff consisted of around 8 young boys who really couldn’t care less about people arriving (apart from one individual who spoke very good English and was very helpful. The other boys sat around doing nothing wrapped up in blankets. This is the result of poor management. The passports had to be kept in reception in an open drawer under the counter - I got mine back and put it in my safe deposit box as they were not in a safe place. Some female staff were diligent and worked hard - they seemed so scared in getting anything wrong. If you want to change money don’t do it at the hotel. Money changers are numerous in Mandalay and offer a good service. The hotel did not provide any information on these and obviously preferred to change at a poor rate. I will be travelling to Mandalay again - the Burmese people are generally warm, welcoming and lovely to meet. Would I stay at The Grand Park Hotel? Not a chance."

"The hotel staff are very friendly and always ready to help, especially manager Sarah who speaks perfect English, which is not often in Myanmar, she did help us a lot during our stay. Rooms are clean, beds and pillows are comfortable. The problems were quickly eliminated: our room faced the swimming pool where people were smoking and the smoke went to the room. Next morning we moved to another room. I did not see any insects in the hotel. The only inconvenience is the cards - they have to be used in the elevator, so if you left without the card - you'll have to wait for someone to help you."

It's really bad, and we couldn't even use it for basic web browsing."
