Heroes Hotel

The hotel is decent enough. The rooms are tiny, the air conditioning only works while you are in the room. The window does not open, double, foggy. We entered the room and felt an unpleasant smell from the threshold, which never went away. The shower in the bathroom is old, the water flows unevenly and beats. They immediately brought us hot toast with cheese. Polite staff, they helped with everything, they suggested everything. I haven’t been to other hotels in Manila, but it seems to me that you can find better ones. We stayed for one night - it took about 15 minutes to get to the airport at night. During the day we would have to spend 35-40 minutes in traffic jams.

The location is quite local and there are no places around where foreigners can eat and drink. For currency exchange and massages, you have no choice but to use the hotel. When I arrived at 13:15 and tried to check in, I was told that the room was ready, but that I could not wait until 14:00. I negotiated that it would only be 45 minutes, but they said it would be possible if I paid half of the accommodation fee. I have stayed in many places in the Philippines, but this was the first time I had to deal with such harsh accommodations, even though the rules were strict. The attitude of the front desk staff, including the night staff, is not very good. Kill time at the rooftop restaurant. The staff are pleasant. The banana shake, which cost around 120 pesos, was also delicious. After checking in, when I used the toilet in my room, the water from the washlet wouldn't stop, and the toilet flooded with water. I called the staff to fix it, but the water was still dripping. When I asked to change my room, I was told that there were no other rooms available. I was about to run out of time, so I asked the staff to go through the cancellation process since they couldn't provide me with a decent room, and the staff went to the front desk again. I decided to change rooms. I can only feel disbelief as to why they didn't do this from the beginning. There is no refrigerator in the deluxe room. If you rent it, it costs 1000 pesos per day. I bought some ice at a convenience store to survive. One of our goals was to have a rooftop pool, but we were unable to use it as it was undergoing renovations. When I went to the gym around 8pm, I was supposed to be able to use it until 10pm, but it was already closed. I've written about a lot of bad things, but there are also some good points. The rooms are clean and the equipment is new. Although it is on the side of a high speed road, the sound is almost unnoticeable due to the double sash. Much quieter than the cheaper hotels around Malate. The rooftop restaurant is reasonably priced and has a great view. Inside the museum, there are a variety of superhero models and movie-related items on display, so it's fun to walk around and look at them. There is a 7/11 on the first floor, which is convenient. Massage service available. Other than the response at check-in and water leak, and not being able to use the pool/gym, it might not have been that bad.
