Family-friendly Hotels in Maoming

I went there because despite being far from everything, I don´t mind if it´s a nice place. I was lured by the nice pics with the blue sea, but what I found was disappointing, very calm, yes and so closed to the beach that you can hear the sea from the room. that I loved. What I didn't like much was that the water was brown-ish, I didn´t even dare to get in there. As for the hotel, first the good thing: LEO in the front desk went far and beyond to help me with my requirements, really seemed like the only person there willing to help customers. The room was clean, with a nice view and comfortable bed. The hotel has a pretty floating church where you can take nice pictures, it[s popular for weddings as I could evidence. Now, the not so good: Service wasn't as nice as you would expect for the price they charge; besides LEO, as I already mentioned, and the nice lady at the entrance of the restaurant, the rest of the staff was rather uninterested and unpolite. I went to the swimming pool the first day and there weren't any towels available. I asked one of the guys there (as of today I don't know what they were doing besides sitting on a chair and spitting all afternoon) if they could get me a towel and they told me I had to go to the front desk to get one...it was a 10 min walk from the swimming pool). I asked also the lady in the little convenience store next to the pool and the answer was the same. I went, asked LEO, he apologized and got me a towel (took them 10 mins to get a clean towel for me) and I finally could go. Breakfast buffet is mostly Chinese, and so is all in the hotel, mostly for Chinese couples who want to take nice pictures... I don't know what I was expecting, I though I would find a more foreigner-friendly environment, but I still have to learn to lower my expectations.

The deluxe garden view room booked for parents, the feedback is very satisfactory, the wooden floor is laid, there is a small carpet under the bed, the cabinets are all retro solid wood, the grade is very high, and there is a feeling of home guest rooms. Downstairs is People's Square, it is convenient to eat around, there are Ashui local chicken and Shuidongxingji duck porridge on foot.

The hotel has free supper with sugar water and free foot bath. The service attitude of the young lady at the front desk was very good, and she presented an epidemic prevention package with masks and disinfectant wipes, which was very considerate. The location of the hotel is very good, very close to the bar street, and very close to the 1959 Nanyue Cultural and Creative Street, it is very lively at night, it is very convenient to eat, drink and play. The quality of sleep is not good. I specially arranged a room not close to the elevator entrance for me. Overall I feel good. Come back next time

We were driving from Hainan to GZ with a small kid and it was our stop halfway. The location is great. It's in residential area, apparently near downtown. With a mall linked to the hotel (actually using the same parking). There are few other malls walking distance. There is a nice softplay for kids in the connected mall. The room was great. Big, nice bed. Spacious. Everything seemed brand new, I was a bit surprised as it was opened since 2019. The first room we got though had a strong cigarette smell, it was definitely not possible with a child to stay in. We changed the room. The staff was friendly and helpful there. The bathtub was awesome! It has also quite ok soundproof. I didn't hear anything from upstairs or rooms next door (only from the hall, probably because the elevator was next door). Overall, a great place to rest. We overslept breakfast time, can't comment on that, neither on the pool downstairs (I believe it's shared with the linked compound). Service is good, parking is convenient. I would recommend the hotel management to check the hotel directions (导航指导我们去另外停车场) with the amap. It lead us to a different parking.

Specially stayed in two bed rooms for one night and a suite for one night. In fact, the area of the two rooms is very different, and there are two bathrooms and living rooms, which save a lot of waiting for bathing and toileting time, and when the child sleeps first, the unsleeping adult can also handle affairs in the living room or watch TV without interference. The toilet in the master bedroom is installed too close to the wall and not very convenient. There is a splashing problem like the washbasin, but it is better than the two-bed room. The company that should be built and renovated is not enough. Fortunately, the hotel is not home, and it will pass. 🤣 In addition, there is a supermarket next door to the hotel, which is very convenient.

I stayed here based on the reviews. After checking in, I felt very good. I booked it considering the location and convenience for a beach vacation. After checking in, I felt that the place was very clean and tidy, especially the bedding, which was very satisfying for someone like me who is very mysophobic! The front desk staff are attentive and enthusiastic. The room is very new and the beach is just a few steps away. The facilities and equipment are very complete. The wedding chapel and poetry chapel are great for checking in and taking photos. The infinity pool and restaurant on the 7th floor are great for taking photos. The vacation environment is very comfortable, and overall I am very satisfied. I will stay at the Maoming Romantic Coast Sheraton Resort next time!
