Just returned from an excellent holiday at the Orsmaris. Having read many of the reviews on Tripadvisor, I got an accurate impression of what to expect. As with any hotel, it is alway possible to pick fault, however there is little that could be improved on here. All the fundamentals are correct. Stunning location right on it's own small, but private beach. Always enough sunbeams so never a need to try and save one. If sitting around the pool is your preference then the hotel has 2 small pools situated in a very well kept garden with lemon trees, & scented flowers. Again plenty of sunbeds and also several pleasant shaded area's which I found ideal relief from the sun or to read in. From the moment I arrived here, the whole atmosphere of the hotel was calm and relaxing. Hotel staff are all friendly and cannot do enough to ensure you have an enjoyable time. The bar / restaurant area is overlooking the stunning sea views. Included breakfast is the usual continental offering although the chef is making the best omelettes I've ever had. I did notice the staff going the extra mile to fulfil any special requests guests had for breakfast. We ate often at the hotel for lunch and dinner. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced as are the drinks. We paid extra for the sea view which was well worth the additional cost. Worth mentioning that sea view rooms get the full force of the morning sun on the balcony which may be too hot for some. Rooms are cool with a good air conditioning system which allowed for good sleep. Non sea view rooms overlook the rear pools & gardens so still have a great view and more shade on their balconies. Hotel is very clean and the rooms comfortable. Items that could be improved on are the bathrooms are a little dated and would benefit from refreshing. It appears that we stayed in the original building and there is a newer, additional building where I assume the bathrooms are obviously younger. Rooms are equipped with a fridge but oddly no kettle which I was surprised about. Bring a travel kettle if, like me, you want a cuppa in your room. As others have mentioned, there are no lifts here so please bear that in mind if you have mobility issues. I struggled to hump our suitcases up 3 flights of stairs as we arrived when no one was available to assist. In summary, this hotel is a real gem with all the essential ingredients for a relaxed holiday. It is not geared up for a wild party time if thats your preference. I experienced a superb holiday here in no small way due to the outstanding staff at the hotel. I have already booked to return next year so guess that is the best recommendation I can give.
