Family all inclusive stay in the Blue bay Hotel The hotel and staff were amazing, the food was second to none, in terms of quantity quality and variety it was unbelievably good , the only negative thing I experienced was the lack of anywhere quite, the music was on at the pool in the lobby and in the restaurant all day and up until late night, in between sound tracks you could hear the music coming from the surrounding hotels. overall it was a great stay , most of the holidays we go on are normally quiet forest camp sites , so I don’t think I will be visiting Turkey again, it seems to be geared towards the shopping and clubbing type of person.

Good firm king size mattress but pillows were overstuffed & hard. Only 1 tiny circular drawer in the single bedside table & only 1 bedside light. Square arch of LED lights round bed head were not bright enough to read by. A small room with no drawers for clothes storage can never be graded 5*. Dining room was good & all-you-can-carry food was excellent. Self-serve salads were truly magnificent, as were the free ice creams. We didn’t indulge in the unlimited free alcohol available. The biggest bugbear was the all-encompassing music. Reveille (yes a bugle call) at 10.00 & then continuous over-loud music until 23.00. We played a game of ‘hunt the loudspeaker’ to try to find the quietest location. If you want a quiet peaceful holiday then look elsewhere, Blue Bay Platinum is not for you. We complained to TUI UK & we’re told that the hotel is described as ‘lively’. This is obviously TUIspeak for deafening.

The restaurant staff were great .. the entertainment staff didn’t approach us until day 10 of our two week stay .. the noise from the Sun Bay hotel next door was horrendous and we might as well as had the windows open .. food was repetitive and lukewarm warm although we didn’t starve .. although we were all ill during the holiday … the pools were overcrowded and everyone was rammed in like sardines .. Alex at the adults pool was amazing .. the Tui rep was very knowledgeable .. we wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend

Visited last week of season which we didn’t realise when we booked. Over week numbers dwindled as did supplies, drinks ran out and food was repetitive. There was always something to eat , and we enjoyed it but the most basic buffet in all inclusives I have seen. Drinks are cheap, no fizzy wine no baileys and nasty pre-made cocktails. Entertainment was limited but they really tried their best at Halloween with loads of decorations and acts . I wouldn’t recommend this week as all the shops and restaurants are also closing. We ate at the Greek restaurant al a carte was v nice but limited menu again. Worth it for £15/21 The hotel is tired, seats are threadbare and splitting, bathrooms are bit stained but it’s all v clean. Pools are surrounded with high rise so pools are not in sun all day . No problem with getting beds as hotel was empty. The decor inside is v odd with weird mannequins in reception. But around the pool was attractive. Relax pool was nice and quiet, small bar there too but had unpleasant rotting smell in the last few days probably waste not being collected . Sea was beautiful, short walk over wasteland no drinks there could take one in paper cup. We walked along front lots of people trying to get you in restaurant bit ott and off putting. The town is a holiday resort getting older lots of tacky shops and bars, the location is lovely but the town is Blackpool in Turkey. It was cheap and cheerful winter sunshine for us but it’s not platinum and we won’t be back to this hotel or Marmaris.

Hotel itself is big, clean and well run. The food at best was warm, very varied and catered for every need but all the hot food was luke warm. The drinks were served in seconds, even cocktails all in plastic tumblers, some of which were warmer than the meals, every mixer I tried was flat. We went to beach loads of free sunbeds and brollys, however, you are told before you go that you have to pay for drinks on the beach, two beers, four strawberry dakaries and one mojito 80 euros for seven drinks. We only went once. It was lovely and lively down there. Such a shame we all felt like we had been ripped off so we did not return. We all made the best of our week despite the above grumbles. Alex's relax bar was brilliant.

Very good hotel excellent all inclusive only downside is noise from rooms being woken every morning at 8 by cleaners who had no consideration for guests not a problem for some but I like a little lie especially when getting in late ideal location very close to beach and amenities overall very good

I wouldn’t say this hotel is 4 star maybe a 3. Food isn’t the best some nights there’s been nothing for kids and hit and miss for adults (we’re not fussy eaters) plastic cups in the day still with lipstick all over them. I wouldn’t come end of season again as they didn’t have half the ice cream and food/ drink) the bar and ice cream shop is miles away from the entertainment and pool with no one offering drinks. The lunchtime food bar by the pool is great food something for everyone even picky eaters! Rooms are touch and go we had to move from our first family room as the doors wouldnt lock, mould all over the bathroom, windows falling out so wouldn’t shut them, the safe wasn’t attached to anything. The room we moved to was cleaner but again safe not attached to anything and kept failing and wouldn’t open, the electrics blew so had to wait for staff to come fix it, loud hotel rooms for kids as the entertainment was right next to the block of family rooms and no more anywhere else that was quieter. Entertainment team were lovely but not much for little ones more for teens ours were (8&4 years old). Location brilliant but not on the beach 5-7 mins walk from the hotel and no all inclusive down the beach. The rep was lovely and helpful as our girl became poorly and got a rash since being here. The pools are dirty around the edges making your feet black! Pools are great but very cold this time of the year. Love marmaris but wouldn’t come back to the hotel due to the fact theirs not much for young kids and the food/drinks not being great. Staff were lovely. But again I would not come in October to Turkey over half term they start shutting everything off around you felt very awkward sitting around the pool they start putting beds away at 3/4pm. The men who run the shop onsite are really friendly but you do pay for convenience much cheaper at the supermarket over the road.
