Riad El Zohar

We had a wonderful stay in Riad El Zohar. Allan and all the staff are friendly and hospitable. They respond to our queries and request quickly. It is like you are at home. Service, location and amenities are all perfect. What makes El Zohar a cut from the rest is that it offers breakfast whenever you are ready even at 6am, so if you have a tour starting at 7am you can have your breakfast right away. This is one of the main reasons why I have chosen El Zohar. This is one of the best stay I ever had in my life as a tourist and youtube vlogger. Thank you for having us in your Riad!

My husband and I have just returned home after a very pleasant 8 day stay at Riad El Zohar. Allan and Marika the owners together with their staff made us very feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. On our arrival Allan showed us around the local area including the best money exchange. Riad El Zohar is centrally located within the Souks and only a 5 minute walk from the Madina. We both really enjoyed our holiday and we hope to visit again next year. Linda Phillips

A truly fabulous riad centrally located to enjoy all the delights that Marrakech has to offer. The accommodation is beautiful and the staff ensured our stay was absolutely perfect. Still amazes me how you can immerse yourself in the Hussle and bustle of the city and as soon as you enter through the riad door in the wall you enter a tranquil calm beautiful space. When i return to Marrakech there will be no question where to stay, Riad El Zohar will be my choice every time.

Amazing staff and great place to stay

I can only echo the other 5 star reviews, Riad El Zohar is a charming and welcoming place to relax in the exciting but demanding centre of Marrakech. Allan and his team were exceptionally helpful and kind. The rooftop terrace is a tourist attraction in its own right and a great place to eat and observe the sights and sounds of a living city.

My daughter and I had the most perfect stay at Riad El Zohar, the Riad is very peaceful yet only a short walk to the Souks, beautiful rooftop restaurants, The Secret Garden and Jemaa el-Fnaa. The owner Allan is a delight, he was incredibly helpful with his hints and tips as well as booking us into Le Trou Au Mur for our last dinner, siting on the rooftop, having the most delicious meal! I cannot recommend the Riad more, after a busy day in the Souks, returning to the heavenly rooftop terrace for total tranquility and even a swim in the pool. I have taken away such wonderful memories and writing this makes me want to revisit! Thank you Allan. Frances

We spent 4 nights at El Zohar and it was magnificent. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and taken care of by Allan and the exceptional staff. Most definitely recommend using the airport transfer service. Allan recommended having dinner on our first night at El Zohar and we were glad we decided on that. Delicious meal served on the terrace. Read the guidebooks they provide on arrival. They’re filled with invaluable information about local restaurant recommendations and guidance on shopping, etc. Highly recommended is an understatement.

As delightful as this property is, it is the personal touch of the staff that made my stay so special, and left a lasting impression on me. From the moment I entered, I was treated like family, and seated at the table for refreshing Moroccan mint tea. Meanwhile, the charming proprietor took the time to explain the history, art, and architecture of the place, as well as to offer expert help with any reservations or sightseeing I might be looking to make. My room was lovely, with an opulent bathroom nearly as big as the bedroom itself. The way a riad is arranged allowed me to meet some of the other guests, which I enjoyed, as well as to allow more interaction with the staff, all of whom are friendly, attentive, and wonderful. The rooftop was my favorite part of the riad, so much so that I chose to have dinner up there, where I enjoyed a succulent meal at sunset provided for by the staff's excellent cooks. The ingredients had been locally procured that very day. It was not only delicious, but elegantly presented. The riad was elegant, relaxing, and every bit the authentic Moroccan experience I was seeking. But I can't say enough about the staff. I will always remember them. I was even escorted early in the morning to my awaiting airport transfer, just to make sure I was safe. Thank you for the fantastic riad experience.
