My wife and I had the most amazing time with Riad Zayane. Everything was perfect! We were picked up and driven to riad, shown were to go as you do go through a market street. We had a meal at the riad and was so delicious. Nice range of wine. Beer was amazing. None was too much trouble. The staff were incredible. Nothing was too much. We had the oasis room, which from what we could see was the best room on offer. Room decor was beautiful! The riad was so pretty. Small courtyard which was always nice and cool. Rooftop terrance was nice too. Had plenty of beers on there!! Wish we had longer there. If you are looking at going. Do not hesitate to book this!!!!!! Thank you xx

We did have the oasis room which is very large and comfortable. The courtyard where breakfast and dinner are served is very attractive and tranquil. An electric roof closes in case of rain. The staff of the Riad - every single one of them - were extremely helpful, efficient and friendly. There is a lovely terrace with comfortable sofas, loungers and umbrellas - enjoyed some pre diner drinks as well as after dinner ones. We booked all of our tours through the Riad - competitive prices and well organised.

Firstly, thank you to the team at the Riad for making our stay memorable. The hospitality and friendliness of all made our stay here amazing. Upon arrival, we were slightly taken aback by the crazy chaotic small ally way outside the riad. Think animal legs hanging up, flies everywhere crazy smelly busy street selling fruit, veg, and meat. But once inside, the calm, clean, small riad is tranquil and accommodating. Breakfast was mainly fruit, yougart and cake we would have preferred some meat and cheese but Moroccans do have a sweet tooth so we embraced the traditional side. The locals, once outside, were warm and friendly and helpful. Do take some small change as it's expected to tip for directions, etc. The riad is about a half an hour walk to the main square (if you don't get lost), but there are lots of things to take in on the walk and taxis readily available. A great, authentic experience in a beautiful riad. Go with an open mind and enjoy.

The service and warmth here shines through, making for a really relaxed stay in a hectic city. The Medina in particular is frenetic. Once inside Zayane, you can leave busy hot and hectic behind and enjoy peace and quiet. The only noise to interject was the lovely call to prayer, which we both happened to be awake to hear on Friday at 6:30am. To be clear it wasn’t loud, we happened to wake and loved listening. I headed to the roof terrace on other occasions to listen to other calls more clearly. Our room was quite opulently decorated, shower room smart but basic, and lovely seating areas. Breakfast was OK on day one, not too good on day two as seemed to be prepared by a different person. After long days walking, we returned to order freshly pressed fruit juice which was delicious, welcome, enjoyed reflecting on the day sitting on the rooftop terrace which had blankets to wrap yourself in on a chillier night. Couple of rough edges on upkeep, and average breakfast cost the mark here for us. I still say you should stay here, it is well located near the Medina wall towards the YSL Museum and easy walk to Katoubia. Recommended, only 5 rooms so you may miss out.

Do not be put off by the location! We were slightly anxious when we got dropped off late at night at the end of the road by our airport taxi (€12). But we walked confidently through the closed market area and found the Riad easily. Inside we were delighted by the beautiful interior, and by our welcome by Jouad. We were allocated the cheapest room on the ground floor, but this was still beautifully decorated with a comfortable king-size bed so we were more than happy. We managed to peek in the other rooms when they had noone staying in them and they were beautiful! True to the pictures! Mo and the ladies were all very welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble! One lady even came out to the market with me to help me get spices! Breakfast included either omelette/fried egg, or cakes; fruit salad and yoghurt, or a local orange flower jelly; and pastries. Coming in from the busy Medina, we found the Riad tranquil, and we were able to sunbathe on the roof terrace. Would definitely return!

We arrived around 9.30pm and were met from our airport transfer by Jouad who walked us the few hundred metres to the riad. The hustle bustle of the market disappeared as we went into the riad. We were greeted with complimentary mint tea and biscuits as Jouad gave us a thorough introduction to Marrakesh, including a map, as this was our first visit. This proved invaluable during our three night stay. The riad is beautiful and really well kept, with a plunge pool (not in use in February), a communal living room and roof terrace with sun-beds. The breakfasts were great and different every day. A good way to set you up for a day of exploring. Everyone working here was fantastic and really made the stay an excellent one. We will stay here again next time we are in Marrakesh.

Not far from the Medina wall and around the corner from local lively market streets. But quiet, once you enter the gate. Very helpful and friendly staff. 20 minutes walk to the Big square, nice restaurants close by the Riad and the dinner at the Riad is also very tasty.
