We stayed 2 weeks at the riad and had a great time! All the staff were super nice and helpful! Mohamed and jamal specially made us feel like family and always made sure everything was pertaining to. We will comeback for sure. Also, great breakfast

When we arrived at the Riad we were told that the room wasn’t available and we were moved to another Riad for one night. Jamal who took us was lovely & he collected us the next morning to take us to the Riad. The first room we were put in had a 3/4 bed in it, we were 2 friends sharing. Due to the fact we were originally staying for 7 nights I spoke to Jamal about the unsutiable arrangements and we swiftly swapped rooms. The two rooms in which we had were very small. The bathroom was ridiculously tiny and neither myself (5’6) nor my friend (5’3) could sit comfortably on the toilet, we had to sit sideways which, especially for myself (disabled) wasn’t great. The beds we got had loose bolts on which luckily enough I spotted and tightened. Cleanliness standards were okay but there were occasions where we found rogue black hairs on our towels etc (Blonde and a red head). Breakfast was okay, simple we were offered tea & coffee daily. No water. The swimming pool area was okay but we did find it lacked privacy & it was where people were seated when they checked in. Another thing was noise carried, there were a group of middle aged French people who were rowdy and rude at all hours of the day. I was woken up multiple times each night because of this. Location wise this Riad was great! Located in the Kasbah area it had plenty of things to see and do just a short walk away. We decided to cut our holiday short and returned home after just 4 nights due to myself not coping. In all, I think this Riad would be suitable for young people who don’t mind roughing it. The basic amenities were there. Hot water, breakfast, AC. Thank you Jamal for looking after us!

******* is responsible for 2 stars deducted. He immediately made us second guess the start of or vacation with his rude and unwelcoming attitude, opposite what we got from our driver who took us from the airport. It's night, not much people on the streets and infront the building the car stopped we noticed that someone was standing in the dark on his phone. For much the time our driver and us got out the car the fellow in the dark never acknowledged us. Then the driver went over to him, we assumed he asked him for the direction to the riad as it was not off the main. Then the driver said follow that guy... pointing to the guy who never even seem to acknowledge us. We are a bit nervous but trusted the driver. The fellow from the dark started walking away while still on his phone but the driver beckoned for us to follow. He was always t least 10 feet away and never said a word to us. Who was this guy we were about to follow into this ally way? I then initiated talking to him by saying ...Sir, Riad Nouhal? He took his eyes off his phone and angrily said..'.You don't trust me?? Yes! I work there!'.... We were shocked, took a moment then followed. He was at least 20ft ahead and he just kept walking till he got to the door of riad, then he opened and said 'we are here, get in'. He took us straight to the pool and told us to sit. I asked him his name and we were shocked when he said '*******, I'm the manager'. He was always preoccupied with something while dealing with us and never gave us the respect of looking at u while he spoke to us. Sitting at the pool at about 9pm in dim lighting he took a pic of both our passports, gave us a map his number and shared a few tips. Then he said we have to pay city tax and sternly said 'Can u pay me now' finally staring me down. We obliged. I asked him for a receipt and he got mad. He asked sternly...' you want a receipt??? ' then he pointed at me and said if u want a receipt ask your agent for one' . ******* is a true bully. Then he asked us if we used an agent and i said no. He sighted, took a moment, then calmly said he will email the receipt in the morning (he never did the 4 days were stayed there). I asked if the pool was heated and he annoyingly answered ..no it's cold. Everytime we asked him something he literally quinched his face in disgust. We have never been treated so poorly by someone in hospitality our whole lives, and for no apparent reason. We went to bed feeling scared and without options that first night because of how ******* treated us. The location, feel, breakfast and room worked well for us but would never visit again or recommend with ******* there. Jamal and the lady who makes breakfast and fixes the room are very pleasant and friendly staff and it was pleasant interacting with them throughout our stay. It was also very noisy every night right till 7am with heavy banging, loud chatter, bikes etc. However, had it not been for *******, this experience would have easily been 4 stars.

Location was spot on and can’t be faulted. For a couple of nights it’s fine. Any longer maybe not. The room we were given, had no window and only too lights. Beds very basic and uncomfortable. Bedding is a miss match and has seen better days. No soap provided. Shower was broken, but there was plenty of hot water. Very very basic. Room was tired and not very clean. The toilet was so close to the wall opposite my knees were touching the wall. Breakfast was again, basic. Bread, a stale pastry, two pancakes and one processed cheese triangle and very poor coffee. My advice forget the breakfast and go out to a local cafe. A much better experience. Rooms very very noisy especially at night. This hotel was pat of a package which we picked up cheep. So can’t complain as the location was excellent. A basic place to stay, maybe a 1 or 2 star hotel. But no more.

It’s a very simple and charming place to stay, Mohamed is very helpful and gives all the hints we need, including a very good Hammam to go. If you go half board he cooks very well, again simple food but delicious, he even showed us how to make a tangine. The only difficulty is how to get there on the first day as cars don’t go to the pathway, our driver called Mohamed and he went to pick us up from the mais street.
