The hotel was peaceful, well maintained, and rooms were adequate. As a bonus the main pool (near the bar) was still heated during the April half term, which was the perfect temperature. The pool was one of the best features being spacious and allowing children to use inflatables, considering it was half term it had a nice feel without being too busy, sunbed availability was plentiful and we were lucky to have some directly outside our apar**ent. The apar**ents were clean and comfortable, we stayed in a two bed apar**ent, there was no air con, but the fans were more than adequate for this time of year. The apar**ent kitchen facilities were slightly problematic in that the sink area is directly under the stairs, making it incredibly difficult to use the facilities without banging your head ! Kitchen equipment was basic but they did supply washing up liquid, sponge and dish cloth. The hob didn’t work whilst we were there and more thought needs to go into the basic equipment supplied for a self catering holiday. The hotel was a little too remote for us, despite not minding to walk to places, we found it was marginally too far from the beach and restaurants and had to use taxi’s each evening at 6euros a time. Definitely one to factor into any prices, a complimentary bus was available but only during the day, we used the bus a couple of times with no issues. There is a small mini market on site, it was a little on the expensive side and not sufficiently stocked for more than some very basic food and drink. The cheapest supermarket we found was a spa but this is roughly 20 min walk. We didn’t try the hotel food but other guests mentioned the breakfast choices were good and if we returned we would stay B&B due to the lack of nearby shops and eateries. We enquired about upgrading on arrival but they advised it was 15 euros per person per day (incredibly steep for a family of four) so one to price up when booking if considering. The nearby area isn’t the most attractive but the front at Maspalomas is quite pretty. The cheapest areas to eat out are on the front in playa del Inglés, and the people are very friendly and good with children. I don’t think we would return but this is mainly because the location didn’t suit our needs but the hotel was good value and will appeal to people who don’t mind being a little more remote.
