It's hard to get here without a car, but it's really private and really pretty!!! It was said to have a sea view, but it's a shame that you can't see much of the sea. The sunset seen from the beach bar is beautiful, and the rooms are spacious, so it's expensive!

Un plaisir à l'état pur. En effet la sensation d'être seul au monde dans la forêt tropicale mais ave le confort surclassé ! Un vrai bonheur! Cottage intimistes, spacieux, confortable, vue magnifique. Nous n'avions pas la vue mer mais on n'en a pas eu besoin. Nous étions en demi-pension, menu 3 services le soir petit-déjeuner en buffet. Tout de bonne qualité ! Pensez a anticiper votre arrivée pour le coucher de soleil au viewpoint bar la vue est magnifique. Seul regret, une nuit trop peu !

Lakaz Chamarel is hidden away in a secluded valley high up in the mountains on the edge of the Black River National Park, in the South-East of the island. There is a lot to see and do in that part of the island - more than we could explore in our 10-day stay there. Our little lodge had its own small swimming pool, surrounded by the beautiful tropical gardens of the property - quite idyllic and secluded. Quiet little footpaths winding through the gardens lead you to the pretty restaurant and bar - little buggies provide transport on call whenever required. The Seaview Bar has the perfect setting for cocktails at sunset, with spectacular views of sea and mountains to the west. The food is excellent. Most importantly, the atmosphere is warmly welcoming as all the staff are lovely, kind and helpful at all times. Hope we'll make it back there again, one day!

Un site apaisant dans une nature luxuriante, un accueil de grande qualité, une très bonne nourriture et des patisseries divines. La villa Cardinal est juste fantastique, le room service est top, l'expérience reste l'une des meilleures vécue à l'île Maurice. Ne ratez pas le View Bar, vous y trouverez de bons cocktails préparés par des filles très souriantes, pêchues le tout dans une belle ambiance musicale, le coucher de soleil ne peut être que magique ! Pour les sportifs n'hésitez pas à faire le piton Canot, 40mn de montée, vous ne serez pas déçu par la superbe vue que vous découvrirez. Tester le Yoga, rien que la vue vous met en condition " Shanti". Chamarel n'est pas très loin, le faire à vélo est un belle option. Allez-y les yeux fermés. Merci Annie et Patrick

The location is amazing, the team superb and the accommodation lovely. it is a great place to base oneself, walking and hiking easily accessible, the coloured earths close by and plenty within a short drive. We felt well cared for, and will hopefully be back.

Je suis resté 5 nuits à la case Chamarel, l'endroit est vraiment calme et reposant. Le personnel à l'écoute avec un très bon restaurant gastronomique (le soir). Ce que j'ai apprécié c'est évidemment le cadre idyllique, propice au recentrement sur soi et aux choses essentielles. Possibilité d'aller à la plage grâce à la navette gratuite (20 minutes), balade en vélo... Je remercie la Kaz Chamarel pour cette excellent séjour

This was our first stop on our honeymoon, 2 nights, and it was perfect. We had a seaview villa with private pool which had stunning views and an amazing room with outdoor shower. The View Bar was fantastic to watch the sunset from and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Lovely to be in a setting of lushious greenery and vibrant wildlife. And we loved the yoga settings!

As a place to unwind after a gruelling flight from London, Lakaz Chameral is as good as it gets. Spectacular location, wonderful staff, amazing wildlife, excellent food and wonderfully private accommodation all make for a truly memorable experience. We stayed for 4 nights before heading for the sea and will always remember it as one of the most extraordinary places we’ve ever stayed.
