I recently stayed at anantara hotel in Mauritius with my children, booking two rooms for our 6 nights stay. I am writing to express my disappointment with the service we received during our time at the hotel . One of the rooms we were assigned had a malfunctioning AC unit, which despite our multiple requests for maintenance, was never properly fixed. This led to uncomfortable and sleepless nights as the room was never adequately cooled. Additionally, the quality of the food provided was below average compared to other Anantara hotels I have stayed at in Oman, Abu Dhabi, Thailand, and many other locations. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the rooms was extremely bad as we found dirty bedsheets upon our arrival, the room was very dusty, the bathroom wouldn’t be cleaned properly and this leads to hygiene issues!!. The valet service and overall welcome we received was also disappointing. The staff were not as friendly or welcoming to guests specially at the breakfast area. Despite we being platinum member of GH Discovery, this was also not taken it on account!! Overall, I was severely disappointed with the service and experience at Anantara hotel in Mauritius, and I cannot in good faith recommend it to others looking for accommodation in the area. Neither will we stay there in our upcoming trips.
