The Bay

Nous sommes restés presque deux semaines dans ce B&B en demi pension, en prenant en considération les avis plutôt élogieux, glanés sur Trip Advisor. Nous avions pris une chambre de qualité supérieure. L’hôtel est situé sur une petite baie sympathique. La chambre n’était pas insonorisée. Durant le séjour, nous avons pu profiter: - du ronflement des voisins - à 6h30 certaines matinées, du départ bruyant de bateaux emmenant des touristes à des activités - du caisson de basses de la sono du milieu de la matinée jusqu’à 22h le soir - d’une journée perceuses de 9h du matin à 16h. - de deux concerts sous nos fenêtres Quant la demi pension, nous ne nous attendions pas à aussi peu de variété dans les propositions. Les jus de fruits frais étaient en supplément et quant aux assiettes de fruits elles se limitaient à de petits morceaux ( un quart de kiwi chaque jour, par exemple). Un comble au vu du prix du séjour qui s’apparente à celui d’un hôtel de luxe. Malgré l’amabilité du personnel, nous avons eu le sentiment que le propriétaire leur avait demandé d’économiser au maximum. Cette pingrerie est d’ailleurs signalée dans un autre témoignage. Bref, nous avons payé cher pour ce que nous avons eu. Un rayon de soleil toutefois: Emilie et le personnel ont essayé de faire leur possible pour nous rendre le séjour agréable.

A sublime stay in a magical setting with very pleasant staff. Thanks to Emilie, Sabine, Chloé, Hilary, who knew how to make this stay an unforgettable moment. Special mention also for the cuisine which is simply divine. If I had to return to Mauritius, it is absolutely in The Bay that I would pack my bags again

Very nice hotel in the west, right on the beach near Black River. Nice standard rooms with balcony or terrace. Friendly and courteous staff - always ready to help. Very good breakfast (menu) included with a view of the sea. Good restaurant for lunch and dinner. Bar service and live music on Saturdays. Very beautiful sunsets!

Le personnel est accueillant, chaleureux et sympa. Le restau propose un large choix de bons plats. L’hôtel et les extérieurs sont très agréables. Petit bémol sur la chambre 7, pas bien isolée donc trop de bruit et dans le passage.

We stayed 12 nights with our one year old baby at The Bay. Our stay was simply perfect, on every level. The welcome and kindness of the staff is simply exceptional. We celebrated our daughter's first birthday on the island and the staff took great care of us as well as our daughter who was the mascot throughout the stay. Another huge thank you to all the staff. The hotel is very cozy, clean and comfortable. The view from the restaurant is also a real pleasure. Breakfast and dinners were delicious! The products are fresh and well cooked. The location is also ideal for discovering Mauritius easily and quickly without being too much in the city center. A truly beautiful address that we hope to keep carefully for a future stay! Memorable stay. The welcome at the Bay is very friendly. The room and catering are top notch. As are the tourist offer services. The sea trip to the island of Beniers is recommended. Swimming with dolphins is a fabulous experience. A special mention to Emilie who advised us and organized the stay as best as possible.

We had an idyllic stay at The Bay. Everything is done so that we can rest (even with a baby) and feel at home... under the coconut trees. The staff is impeccable and the restaurant is very good. We will come back as a family again for sure.
